I agree, but my hubby uses catsup! GaspSounds good, but I haven't had steak sauce in the house for a long time. A well-seasoned and cooked steak doesn't need it.

This looks so good. Never used or prepared fresh ginger, though. Maybe I'll try that spoon trick I saw on TV.

You did what to the pork?We love Mongolian beef!
Beef is so dear now but pork is still reasonable. I made Mongolian pork the other night for supper, using thinly sliced boneless pork chops. It turned out great! Along with the pork, which I velveted before stir frying, I had shredded carrot, onions, snow peas, and shrooms. Served with steamed jasmine rice. Last night we had mesquite roast chicken, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. Haven't decided on tonight yet. It's either taco-and-burrito night, or pizza baked spaghetti. Will see what the master prefers.![]()

@ThatOwlWoman I found something your hubby might like. You said he likes chipotle. It doesn't sound that spicy, but I don't know your exact tolerances for heat.

I don't do seafood, but I bought a grill basket for my neighbor. It's supposed to be great for seafood as well as chicken. I guess it helps maintain the integrity of the fish skin on the grill.Let's revive this delicious thread! We're having grilled salmon, wild rice, and peas for supper tonight. How do you like to fix your salmon?

This might be worth trying with the abundance of blackberries each year. @ThatOwlWoman, didn't you say you are growing blackberries? Would your hubby like this?

What kind of cherries did you get? I like Balatons and the Michigan Black.Intriguing. Pork and chicken take well to fruits. Yes, we've got three thornless blackberries in the fenced in garden. Otherwise the deer eat them. Last year one cane poked through the fence and promptly got gnawed off. lol No blossoms yet. In Missouri they fruited in July so I expect that here it will be in August. We got a handful of them last year as we've only had them for three years. The two apples blossomed beautifully this spring, but I don't see any apples yet. Maybe next year.
I put up three quarts of pitted cherries and still have some left over. Cherries and ice cream for dessert tonight! I've also got a (store bought) angel food cake that might like some cherries and blueberries sprinkled about.
I love my instapot even though I end up freezing over half of what is made. A few weeks ago I made Turkey Corn stew. Thawed out a bit yesterday, added some chopped onion and jalapeno before defrosting and warming up than topped with sweet soy sauce. It was delicious!I'm going to save this for winter. I got plenty of short ribs in the freezer.
