Cost of living is up. Paychecks are not. And workers are not OK.

Republicans screw up the economy and add greatly to the debt - seems like every single time.

And yet they amazingly manage to keep alive a belief that they are somehow better for the economy.

That's the power of right wing propaganda and a populace that often gives rumors more credibility than the media.

"Well, Joe down the street believes it - so it must be true."

Democrats get in and have to clean up the Republican mess - all while being blamed for it. They make some progress and begin to get things back in order again. Republicans and the right wing media convince enough voters things are horrible and there should have been a faster recovery. A recovery from the mess they made. Voters fall for it, put Republicans back in, who proceed to ride on the economic coat tails of what Democrats built - all while blaming them for things not being better. Then Republicans screw up the economy again and add greatly to the debt again.

And now the great peace maker has started a war where the goal seems to be just getting back to where we were before the war.

If the economic impact of losing millions of immigrants workers and job creators, along with crippling price-raising tariffs didn't hurt the economy bad enough, the needless war that hiked gas prices a dollar higher per gallon has been a disaster.

And all of this was supposed to reduce the Federal Debt but instead it is way higher. But billionaires have been given a big tax break because, you know, they are so beneficial for America. Why should they not be paying more tax and helping reduce the debt they caused? They are the ones who have all the power and control over government.

The only reason the public has not completely abandoned Republicans is because of the biased right wing media.
Well it is a fact that 11 out of the last 12 Recessions started under a Republican President and we elected a DEM President and they got us out of them.
It is also a fact that the Republicans are the ones running up the debt.
Reagan almost tippled it , Bush over doubled it, Yes Obama ran it up about 8 Trillion getting us out of the deep recession / depression Bush got us into and Trump added about 8 T in his first term and has gone on to add another 3.2T in his second term so far, and it is going up.
That is over 11 Trillion for Trump and he still has 2 years to go.
And as it has been posted here many of time if you want a strong economy elect a DEM if you need to slow it down and need a recession elect a Republican. they do it very well.

Inflation Isn't Just a Trumpflation Problem Any Longer -- There's a New Culprit, and It Has Potentially Dire Implications for Wall Street

U.S. inflation hit a three-year high of 4.2% in May, raising concerns about possible Federal Reserve rate hikes.

President Donald Trump's policies have been the primary culprit behind above-average inflation... until now.

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) has homed in on a new source of inflation, and it's devastating news for a historically expensive stock market.

But in May, trailing 12-month (TTM) inflation more than doubled this long-term target, reaching a three-year high of 4.2%. Two concurrent price shocks, courtesy of President Trump's policies, have been behind this inflationary surge.

Inversion fallacy.

FDR caused the Great Depression to become Great.
Carter's price controls on gasoline caused shortages of gasoline and a minor economic depression (later corrected by Reagan).
The economic depression during Obama/Biden sustained an inflation of 94%.
The economic depression during Biden/Obama sustained an inflation of 34% and destroyed many businesses.

You cannot blame Democrat problems on anybody else, Tball.
It is also a fact that the Republicans are the ones running up the debt.
Nope. CONGRESS did that, mostly Democrats. The trillions of fraud the Democrats support didn't help.
Reagan almost tippled it
He can't. CONGRESS did. Democrats.

Argument from tandU fallacy. The Federal Reserve has not posted any such numbers.

Mindless cut and paste from Democrat propaganda sources. *yawn*

Got any links to back up your LIES?
I posted many backing up my facts,
the one I want to see is where there was a DEPRESSION under Obama / Biden.
Lets see them , this should be good,

Yup,

A well run economy uses debt strategically and primarily for boosting the economy in times of downturn or challenge, such as Obama and Biden inherited from their republican predecessors. That is the main purpose of allowing gov't to go into debt originally. and then, as Clinton did, if you inherit a strong economy you should run surpluses and pay down the debt. You do this so the country has access to use debt again in the future during the next crisis.

But Republicans and especially magats, like Trump have entirely abandoned that. They run up debt at record levels trying to boost the strong economies they inherit which inevitably strains the economy so they can hand off to the next Dem Potus a teetering economy. and that is all by design. They want Dem's more focused on cleaning up the republican mess than putting money into a Dem agenda. They want to scream at Dems 'we cannot afford those helpful programs because we have too much debt'.

Trump-flation

A new survey finds many American workers feel their pay is not keeping up with the rising cost of living.

More than half of workers have less than three months of living expenses saved in case of a layoff.

Financial stress is a major issue, with a majority of employees living paycheck to paycheck.

Heading into the 2026 midterm elections, cost-of-living concerns are a central issue at kitchen tables across America. With Americans paying higher prices for everything from groceries to car insurance, savings are dwindling, credit card debt is mounting and household budgets are stretched thin.

Paychecks gone in a 'blink.' Rising costs on the minds of Americans

That’s not true, Fake News, the Trump family is making more money than they can count
