We are a net "petroleum" exporter, that happened when they put NG into the " Petroleum " category.
Once they found the Marcellus Natural gas fields we became a net exporter of petroleum and not an " importer ".

Texas holds 25% of the total NG reserves in the US. The Marcellus play is also about 25% of the NG reserves in the US.

Fun fact: At one point the income from the multiple NG wells on the land owned by DFW International airport exceeded the airport operations income.

Well here is a chart from the Gov. on how many MBPD were produced.
Highest amount in 2020 was 12,865 MBPD
2023 is when it first went over 13 MBPD
and Biden had 15 months over 13 MBPD highest 13530
We have to remember the OIL executives have come out and said they will only be producing more oil here if there is a profit to be made, and with Trump's stupid war it has driven up the price of oil so they will be producing more and making big money.
