so creating a synthetic counter party to prop up a bad idea must be even worse.Executing a bad idea, whether with a counterparty or not, is stupid, by definition.

Normally that would be the lead story in this situation, but it appears we are about to go through the technological singularity. If that does happen, it is a shift in speed that has only happened twice before: the neolithic agricultural revolution, and the industrial revolution.Global economies are facing the perfect storm of deregulation, overleveraged risky speculation, QE, debt default. and too big to jail.
We learned nothing from the scams of S&L, Black Monday, Dotcom, subprime mortgage, so the Epstein class needs WW3 to create oceans of blood.
I am interested. I cannot think of an obvious synthetic counterparty propping up bad ideas. Basel III would make it difficult for the banks to act as risky synthetic counterparties. Are you speaking of the private equity funds? In a way they are synthetic counterparties.so creating a synthetic counter party to prop up a bad idea must be even worse.
if nobody wants to take a bet its a bad bet.I am interested. I cannot think of an obvious synthetic counterparty propping up bad ideas. So were are the "bad bet" synthetic counterparties? Most of the synthetic counterparties I can think of were not created because they are "bad bets", but because setting up an open market would be more trouble than it is worth.if nobody wants to take a bet its a bad bet.
you're made of foolish materials.
there is no market when the counter bet is idioticSo were are the "bad bet" synthetic counterparties? Most of the synthetic counterparties I can think of were not created because they are "bad bets", but because setting up an open market would be more trouble than it is worth.
I am really interested, because if you have a good answer, it might be something I would want to invest falling apart.
Can you come up with an "idiotic bet" that is being made with synthetic counterparties? The lack of a market does not necessarily mean there are synthetic counterparties. If no one wants to be a counterparty, there will be no market, and no synthetic counterparties.there is no market when the counter bet is idiotic
you've stumbled out of the dark, fool.
lets see if you fall backward back into it.
You don't get so speak for everybody, Wally.Normally that would be the lead story in this situation, but it appears we are about to go through the technological singularity. If that does happen, it is a shift in speed that has only happened twice before: the neolithic agricultural revolution, and the industrial revolution.
Before the neolithic revolution, world GDP doubled every 250,000 years. After the neolithic revolution, world GDP doubled every 900 years(much faster). After the industrial revolution, world GDP doubled every 15 years. We could expect world GDP to double many times a year.
It might not be evenly distributed. After each technological revolution, wealth distribution became uneven in unique ways. After the neolithic revolution, there were slaves and emperors, where before there was just bands(extended families who ate together). Before the industrial revolution the richest country had only double the per capita GDP of the poorest country, where now it is hundreds of times the per capita GDP.
In this time of massive change, it is important we have steady, competent leadership... Which no one thinks trump is.
There is no such thing as a 'synthetic counterparty', Wally. Buzzword fallacy.I am interested. I cannot think of an obvious synthetic counterparty propping up bad ideas. Basel III would make it difficult for the banks to act as risky synthetic counterparties. Are you speaking of the private equity funds? In a way they are synthetic counterparties.
Why is crypto currency better than the fiat currency? How is it different? To me, crypto is just another ponzi scheme. All bubbles burst. The AI bubble burst will lead to replacing the worthless dollar with stablecoin.
Have you seen this claim that BitCoin is a CIA product? Why is crypto currency better than the fiat currency? How is it different? To me, crypto is just another ponzi scheme.
A stablecoin makes it easy for our overlords to control us by deciding what we can and cannot buy or simply cutting off access to our money. Covid proved people will fall in line and do what they are told. Why is crypto currency better than the fiat currency? How is it different? To me, crypto is just another ponzi scheme.
every synthetic counterparty signifies a bad bet.Can you come up with an "idiotic bet" that is being made with synthetic counterparties? The lack of a market does not necessarily mean there are synthetic counterparties. If no one wants to be a counterparty, there will be no market, and no synthetic counterparties.
Mutual funds use synthetic counterparties when investors wish to sell. That has never failed, so not what I would call a bad bet.every synthetic counterparty signifies a bad bet.
The fool would be them. When you create a synthetic counterparty, you are becoming the counterparty. It just is not going through a market to get to you.they had to invent a fool for bets this dumb.
past results are no indicator of future successes, dumb money monkey.Mutual funds use synthetic counterparties when investors wish to sell. That has never failed, so not what I would call a bad bet.
A synthetic counterparty is usually used when it seems like more bother than it is worth to setup a market.
The fool would be them. When you create a synthetic counterparty, you are becoming the counterparty. It just is not going through a market to get to you.

The mutual funds fail, not the synthetic counterparties.past results are no indicator of future successes, dumb money monkey.
so the counterparties are just part of the scheme. I see. you're criminals. The mutual funds fail, not the synthetic counterparties.

Mutual funds are one of the best "schemes" we have ever produced. They are great.so the counterparties are just part of the scheme. I see. you're criminals.
but there are synthetic counterparties, whether they should exist or not.Can you come up with an "idiotic bet" that is being made with synthetic counterparties? The lack of a market does not necessarily mean there are synthetic counterparties. If no one wants to be a counterparty, there will be no market, and no synthetic counterparties.
bend over further, dumb dumb.Mutual funds are one of the best "schemes" we have ever produced. They are great.
