Just think about Trump recognizing he could murder someone and not lose a vote, and what that means he recognized in his base. Their lack of morals, intellect and human decency.

But then again they got the job on a no bid, the first time with a bid of $1.5- 2M and came in at about $18m by the time the job was done.

I think even Trump knew his claim that somebody with a box cutter cut a 300 foot gash in the liners was total bullshit, but he knew morons like @Matt Dillon would be stupid enough to buy it.

A lot of the time when you have layers that are not sticking the only solution is to do a complete strip, and start over....which can end up being several multiples of the original cost.

Because competence was never a consideration.

This is absolutely typically kleptocracy.

Once the people understand the guy at the top (POTUS) only cares about kicks backs and making money and not job quality each of them tries to maximize their own profits by doing the minimum to get paid. It is why Putin's military broke down on the road to Kiev.

I am certain the company who did the liner hoped it would last until Trump was out of office and then did not care that it would peel up, but they were so inept they got only a few weeks before it went bad.

All while Trump was bragging as he is a skilled Contractor expert and picking Trades to do construction jobs. :rofl2:

The contractor was told what product to use, was told to get the job done fast, and TRump showed callous disregard for the job by driving a shit ton of cars on it.....I am not at all sure this is his fault.

Yup.

I have never laid down a pool liner but i have done a lot of painting back in the days when you need to first lightly sand the walls and then apply a primer before applying the final coat or the final coat would just flake off.

I have also laid laminate on particle core to make counter tops, using contact cement.

There is a process and set up for these to ensure the two different surfaces (pool bottom and liner) can bond properly together and seal tight and they either did not do that or they rushed it.

And there is also the matter of temps and humidity.....now I dont know if that affected this job but what needed to happen was TRump having this idea say in Jan.....then hiring the right person and letting them decide product.....with plenty of time to do it right.

I am inclined to put all the blame here on TRump.

i long ago realized Trump was a shit business man and marketing guy after seeing the mass number of brand and company failures.

I long ago realized Trump was a con man and fraud when he was setting up charities to steal from veterans and seniors and children.

But the one thing you could have got me to believe was that he had the skill and experience to be a General Contractor or Construction guy.


Laughably that last bubble is burst and i know now Trumps sole skill is as grifting con man. And at that he does excel.

I have read several times that the guy who did the work will fix it on his ticket. he screwed it up, propably on Trump instructions. Everything Trump says about the pool is a lie. As we told Trumpys ,the case against the Olympian he charged with damaging the pool was thrown out for zero evidence. The lies never stop.
