Everyone understands that Socialism is not Communism, right?

This right here just shows this entire topic is way, way, over your head.
Right.

Right the biggest and richest countries with big diverse economies that are not largely based on one industry or commodity, which is far more susceptible to economic downturn pressures are not one who can afford a single payer national insurance plan because... reasons (never explained).

Here is the FACTS, the bigger and more robust and diverse an countries economy is, while at the same time being the top performer for decades on end is PROOF the US could have afforded by simply shifting priorities by reducing Military spending and tax cuts for the rich and corporations.

Those were DISCRETIONARY choices based on what was prioritized.

QPeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,
Perhaps you should move to the only country where complete socialism has survived:
Brunei.

Oh, unlike the US, they seem to have strict requirements for living in their country.

George Orwell was a committed democratic socialist who abhorred Stalinism so much he wrote two novels excoriating it.
The simple-minded fall for it.

But notice Trump only spent a week calling Democrats Communists, he is looking for a different lie that will hit home.

The difference between Socialism and Communism is that Socialists say "Please" while pointing a gun at you and demanding all your wealth...

How does socialism differ from communism? Be specific and detailed.
Socialism is the "necessary stage" before Communism can be realized.

Socialism is the iron-fisted, oligarchy-run government that centrally plans everything about everyone's personal lives, i.e. complete tyranny.

Communism is a world without any government at all, and no money, and no police or military or individual protections, i.e. a form of anarchy.

Communism is achieved when the ruling socialist oligarchy voluntarily steps down and joins the masses of comrades working for free out of sheer enjoyment of making other people happy.

You can see why there has never been a Communist State.

All one has to do is peruse some lists of the top inventions of the Soviet Union (Communism personified) and the United States (Capitalism personified) to see the lame list of things that come up that were invented by the first compared to world changing ones that were invented by the latter.

I will say, that Communist East Germany did invent this:

Superfest_Stapelbecher_alle_Grosen_bright.png

That's a "Superfest" glass. It is virtually unbreakable. It was so good that nobody can afford to produce it because it eliminates almost all need for replacement glass.

I think somebody should resurrect it for use on smart phone screens. If those were unbreakable, it wouldn't matter because the phone would become obsolete in short order and a new one, with a new unbreakable screen, would replace it. So, it doesn't matter if the glass is unbreakable, the product it is in has a limited lifespan.

Trump was silly for referring to Democrats as "Communists." Democrats are Socialists.

The difference between communism and socialism is that communism simply redistributes all the wealth of those who have any, whereas socialism first punishes those with any wealth as "hoarders".

Communism is a form of socialism.
Fascism is a form of socialism.
Slavery is a form of socialism.

All socialism is based on theft of wealth.

They both redistribute most or all of the wealth. Communists just take it all at the point of a gun barrel. Socialists sugar coat it by saying shit like "We voted and the majority ruled..." or, "It's only fair and equal!"

Like I said, the difference is the Socialists say "Please" while robbing you. The Communists are honest about it.
