Post your memes here! Time for some fun.

They work and pay income taxes you fucking droolers.

Or didn't you two zero's know that?
Some do. But, many don't. That aside, immigration enforcement, the cost of arrests and prison time for some, property loss through things like hit and run accidents, unpaid medical bills, etc., far outweigh what they generate in income or tax revenue.

Sez everybody except apologists for illegals and the open borders crowd.

Using the National Academies’ estimate of immigrants’ net fiscal impact by education level, we estimate that the lifetime fiscal drain (taxes paid minus costs) for each illegal immigrant is about $68,000...
Based on their use rate of major welfare programs, we estimate that illegal immigrants receive $42 billion in benefits, or about 4 percent of the total cost of the cash, Medicaid, food and housing programs...
Illegal immigrants can receive welfare on behalf of U.S.-born children. Also, illegal immigrant children can receive school lunch/breakfast and WIC directly. A number of states provide Medicaid to some illegal immigrants, and a few provide SNAP. Several million illegal immigrants also have work authorization (e.g. DACA, TPS and some asylum applicants), allowing receipt of the EITC.

The reason is that a very large share of illegal immigrants have modest levels of education, which results in modest incomes and tax payments, even when they are paid on the books. Their generally low incomes also allow many of them to qualify for means-tested welfare programs, which they often receive on behalf of native-born children. In other words, illegal immigrants are a net fiscal drain on public budgets for the same reasons that legal immigrants and native-born Americans with low levels of education are: They receive more in benefits from the system than they pay into it.

According to a 2023 study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), this net cost reflects $182 billion in annual expenditures offset by roughly $31 billion in taxes paid by an estimated 15.5 million illegal immigrants.

Undocumented immigrants, meanwhile, held $299 billion in spending power in 2023, and undocumented households had a combined income of nearly $389 billion—paying close to $90 billion in taxes. Still, proponents of immigration restriction have argued that undocumented immigrants in particular are a net drain, especially on state and local budgets

Now factor in the costs associated with hunting them down, rounding them up, arresting them, jailing them, housing them then deporting them.

GTFOH.

Since they shouldn't be here to begin with, that's the cost of not enforcing borders and immigration policy vigorously for decades. We can pay now to remove them, and in the future if we keep them out, then we recoup that cost in the long run. Otherwise, they are a source of continuous and unending drain on the economy.
