Ideological Diversity

I strongly believe that the various regions of the United States are far more ideologically / politically diverse
than the different nations of the European Union. If that weren't the case, the EU wouldn't even exist.

Ideological diversity in particular can't possibly be a strength. It's the reason America is so socially regressive compared to the EU.
Even those who, for some reason, see our cultural or ethnic diversity as a strength
have to see how much our extreme political diversity divides us.

This is a good point. It would be like a football team with no centralized game plan. Everybody's plays would be considered equally valuable and you couldn't say no that play wont work. To do so would offend that player and they would then actively work against the team.

Whats funny is the leftist nitwit A Proud Lefty started a thread about "trust stalls" claiming that in German and Japan they have unattended vegetable stands where people shop and leave money on the honor system. He says that cant happen here. Whats interesting to note is the population of Germany is 84% German heritage and in Japan its 98% Japanese. I guess homogeneity id there strength but ours is suppose to be diversity.
