There was a mixture of immigrants in the 1950s. Cannot be it either.
There was a mix but you're assuming the immigrants of the 50s were the same as the immigrants of today. This is anecdotal I admit but, when my maternal grandparents came to the US, according to my mother, their native language was not spoken in the home when she was growing up. Everyone was expected to speak english. Do you think that happens today.

Also immigration polices were different in the 50s. Notice it says: "An essential goal of the proposed immigration law was to ensure that un-American or subversive individuals did not enter the United States." If we're being objective what do you suppose the response would be if trump said something like that?

"Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (McCarran-Walter Act)

Immigration policy wasn’t closely examined again until after WWII. New legislation was introduced in 1952 by Democrats Pat McCarran and Francis Walter. This McCarran-Walter Act was officially named the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 and had several provisions. Perhaps most importantly, the Act continued the quota system put in place in 1924, this time basing quotas on the 1920 census. These quotas continued preferences for immigrants from Northern and Western European nations while greatly limiting immigrants from other parts of the world. The 1952 Act also encouraged immigrants who had special skills or who were relatives of American citizens.

The 1952 bill was passed during a time of anxiety in the United States. Since the end of WWII, the US had already become engaged in an ideological conflict with the Soviet Union. By 1952, Joseph McCarthy had launched his crusade against communists in the US government, Truman’s loyalty program had been in effect for five years, and Truman and McCarran had already sparred with each other over the 1950 McCarran Internal Security Act. An essential goal of the proposed immigration law was to ensure that un-American or subversive individuals did not enter the United States. Under this new law, all immigrants would be screened for past participation in communist organizations."

I doubt the immigrants of today was the cause. It's a recent phenomenon.

Chinese restaurants still thrive today. ;)

Are you saying Muslims shouldn't be allowed here?

Im really trying to give APL the benefit of the doubt but its work. He/she/it keeps implying more money would fix education even though its been shown to APL that Japan spends less money on education and is safter than America according to APL.
Your line of questioning is completely sound.
He just chooses to ignore it and mindlessly chant.

So what do you think caused the downfall of education and erosion of values and morals?

Why isn't there a honor system here anymore?

I told you already. A lack of personal responsibility for ones actions. I gave the example of Luigi Mangione who committed pre-meditated murder. People actually want him to be set free as if killing the ceo was perfectly justified.
