As I've explained before, the biggest mistake the WNBA could make was letting it leak that the commissioner and owners were meeting in response to Freedom’s draft declaration. Now everyone anticipates a response. And the longer the WNBA’s doesn't issue a response, the more it reads as panic. At this point it no longer matters what they do or say. Everything will be viewed through the lens of panic. Freedom literally put the WNBA in checkmate with the first video where he forced a binary choice: A. Allow the two to enter the WNBA draft. That means publicly accepting that “woman” is just a feeling. It is absurd, and would disenfranchise the women in the league. B. Draw a hard line and say they do not qualify. That means admitting self-ID is not enough and that biology matters. It would be a public abandonment of the core liberal doctrine on gender. Like I've said before--either choice burns gender ideology to the ground. And while the league stays silent, Freedom keeps releasing more videos where he's walking that razor-thin line between sincerity and parody. The ambiguity is what makes these videos so effective. I don't see how the WNBA gets out of this.

There is no "self-identification guidelines", and no "transgender athletes" being included. The problem here is that you are getting your news from FoxNews, and it is not a valid newssource.
In the real world, the league officials decide who is qualified. The league officials have a huge amount of leeway on their decisions. Seriously, did you ever play sports? How do you not know this?
The league does not treat "self-ID" as anything. If it leaves it as ambiguous, then the league officials get to decide. That is how the real world works.
Even you admit that there is no self identification rule, and no explicit transgender policy. That leaves only the decision of the league officials. They will see this as an attack on the WNBA, which everyone agrees it is, and not qualify these two.
You are obviously not a fan, which really gives you no say in how the league is run.
If they rule these two men are not women, they will lose all the fans that hate the WNBA... But if they hate the WNBA they are not fans, so will lose nothing.
The WNBA has seen amazing growth. It is one of the most healthy leagues of any sport anywhere in the world.

The reason people like @Damocles and @T. A. Gardner Damo Terry attack women's basketball is because they both feel inadequate as men in my opinion.
I'm already spent certain that any of those WNBA players they're shit on could beat the ever-loving shit out of either of them. And they know it.
