The reason I ask this question is to see if forum members (especially Leftists) get to
see the comparison between Hitler's party of 1932 with todays Dem Party. There is no difference.

America is a Constitutional Republic. No one gives a shit what North Korea calls itself. But back to the OP un memento...Hitler's reign in Germany was under the legal name of Democrat Socialist Party, whereas, the current leftist party in America is also labeled as the Democrat Socialist Party.
I know, go ahead and call Trump Hitler or a Nazi to see how much that nonsense holds up.

Hitler’s party in 1932 (and from 1920 onward) was the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, NSDAP). That is the official name. The related registered association was the Nationalsozialistischer Deutscher Arbeiterverein e.V.


“Democratic Socialist” describes a different political tradition (democratic socialism / social democracy). The NSDAP was a national socialist party whose ideology and later practice were authoritarian, nationalist, and anti-democratic. The two labels are not interchangeable.
