Nope. No thanks. How is that supposed to help anyways?

No one but myself and one other interested in not returning to the turn of the last century in the safety of the meat we are eating?

The #TrumpCheerleadingSquad is still waiting for its Official Talking Points(tm) to be issued. I'm sure they'll be here soon to tell us that there's no difference between American-grown beef and "beef" from offshore. lol

PS -- Our forum MAGATs tend to avoid this particular forum because when they sense they've lost the debate, they can't call us libtards, commies, trannies, etc. here.

Yeah, except they can’t legitimately do that with me (though they try really hard to) as while I’m a social moderate I’m an actual fiscal conservative. As a conservative in the Theodore Roosevelt model I can lay claim to the conservative title with much more authority than they can. None of them are actually conservatives at all.

No actual conservative would remotely consider, whether they agreed with the person’s polices or not (and I don’t with most of them), someone like Trump whose personal history completely indicates an individual so devoid of ethics and character as to not remotely be considered Presidential material.

The man is pond scum, and you don’t fix a polluted swamp by pouring pond scum into it. That simply defies common sense. Suggesting MAGA has little to none of that.

I'd venture to say that few, if any, modern Republicans are conservatives. They voted for this despicable orange painted horror only because they've been told -- and swallowed the lie willingly -- that if (D)s are in power they'll destroy the country. They are incapable of realizing that historically we prosper when a Democrat is POTUS, esp. if he has a (D) majority in the legislative branch.

Most truly Classic Conservatives have a good deal of respect for truly Classic Liberals (also in short supply these days).

We agreed on the definition of what facts were, though we might disagree on how to interpret and what to do about them. We agreed on wanting the best for this nation and didn’t dispute that intent in each other, though we might disagree on how to get there.

That respect was mutual and it allowed room for conversation across aisles and room for compromise.

Well said. As long as Trumpism exists, that won't happen again. To the detriment of America.

Example: We had a bipartisan immigration bill during Biden's tenure. Trump, not even in office, pulled MAGAT puppet strings and killed it.

I know.

They hypocrisy of this nation's immigration policy makes me a tad sick. I mean to say, want what you want but then walk it like you talk it. If you want the O U T, out. than don't enjoy the cheaper produce, the groomed lawn, they less expensive new roof. or the resturant meal the back of house staff prepared, or the clean hotel room.

They have a lot to say about it, then advantage themselves from the labor they refuse to ackknowledge they are taling advantage of.

White Reichwingers (<--- a redundancy lol) are much more comfortable when they receive all the benefits of underpaid employees as long as they stay in the back room of that restaurant or hotel or daycare or elder care facility. They also feel better if they only hear English spoken in their vicinity.

This whole ICE goon charade is just a ploy to frighten, harass, intimidate those workers and put on a show for the RW voters. They'd go a lot further if they truly wanted to curb "illegals," by going after those who employ them. But they won't. Those employers are their voters and their donors. Don't want to f with *that.*

I don’t know what Trump is thinking. There isxaxreadon we’ve inspected meat since 1906. It wasn’t unusual for folks to get truly sick from tainted meat before than. Trump wants to set us back in this regard to the 1800’s. How daft is that?

What do we think about that? You folks want to eat non-inspected beef?

Even the cattle folks don’t want this.

The left protecting monopolies - yet again.

The PRIME act does NOT end inspection by USDA, but allows Intrastate (within the state) sales to be based on state or county inspections instead. Clinton ended daily inspections in 1997 - Dubya resumed them in 2007. The option to bypass the 4 big monopolies in no way reduces the requirement for USDA oversight and certification for interstate sales.

WaPo and the party are circling the wagons to protect the oligarchs and their monopolies - as always. The public health angle is a ruse based on outright lies.

And yes, ranchers DO want this. A return to free markets and escape from government mandated and enforced monopolies. DEMOCRATS and other Marxists don't want this.

WaPo and the rest of the DNC Propaganda Corps are doing with they do - spreading fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) mixed with outright lies and demagoguery.

Not what I saw reported. Give me some direction, a link or two, and I use it to start digging into it further.

You said you support free markets. This is a classical example of free market vs. Government control of winners and losers in the market. Remembering of course that Bill and Hillary Clinton are majority shareholders in Tyson foods - one of the four meat processing monopolies.

Here is all the information.
