FBI Reportedly Loosens Hiring Rules So ‘Prostitution and Bestiality’ Are No Longer ‘Automatic Disqualifiers’

Becoming an FBI agent used to require a law degree, or some equivalent speciality. Now they are taking FBI agents who have fucked chickens.

If an applicant is not smart enough, or focused enough even to get a high school diploma, they are probably not going to do well in most jobs that require thinking. There was a time that intelligent young men would drop out of high school without being complete idiots. They were needed on the farm, or to fight Indian raids, but now failure to get an education is a huge red flag.
They have not changed their educational requirements. And where did you see that in the link?

They are looking to recruit the southern white MAGA demographic

Actually it used to require a college degree, and a law or law enforcement degree was preferred. That requirement went out the window months ago.

Did the FBI lower its standards so that a degree is no longer a requirement?

No. A bachelor’s degree is still listed as a requirement on the FBI’s official hiring pages. The Bureau has changed some hiring rules and discussed others, but it has not dropped the degree requirement across the board.

What the FBI currently publishes

As of late August 2026, fbijobs.gov still requires a degree for special agents:

  • GL-9: bachelor’s degree and one year of sworn law enforcement experience, or an advanced degree.
  • GL-10: bachelor’s degree and at least two years of full-time professional work, or an advanced degree plus one year of work.
  • 1811 lateral / ASAT path (experienced federal criminal investigators from other agencies): bachelor’s degree still required, plus two years of continuous 1811 experience. Training for that path is condensed to about nine weeks instead of the standard 18-week Basic Field Training Course.

The published special-agent standard is still a bachelor’s degree plus experience (or an advanced degree with less experience). There is a stated opening for long-serving cops without degrees, shorter training for already-credentialed federal 1811s, and some process/background tweaks. That is not the same as “a degree is no longer a requirement.” Check fbijobs.gov.
