In ordinary use it is just betting/sportsbook language:


  • You deposit money into an account, then place a bet.
  • Promos often say “wager your deposit” (you must bet the cash you put in before a bonus unlocks).
  • Old bookie slang for putting money up first is post-up, not “deposit bet.”
