The Stars and Stripes was flown on slave ships
Ahh, the proud willful ignorance of the sheet wearers. :palm: :rolleyes2:
You can't pick and choose history, gumby. It is what it is. For your education:

This is an OUTSTANDING history of the democrat party. And you are completely right. You cannot pick and choose history. Good job!

The Rebel Flag was not the official national flag of the Confederacy.

Did many slave ships in the Africa trade fly the Stars and Stripes?

Yes, for a large share of later (post-ban) illegal voyages.

U.S.-flagged or U.S.-organized ships carried about 305,000 of the roughly 12.5 million Africans embarked in the transatlantic trade.

American-built ships (especially fast Baltimore clippers) were even more common than U.S.-flagged ones;

Most of that American participation occurred before the 1808 ban, especially in a late legal surge (1804–1807).

After the U.S. and Britain outlawed the trade, the remaining traffic went mainly to Brazil and Cuba.

The first federal ban on American ships participating in the slave trade came on March 22, 1794. Congress passed, and President Washington signed, the Slave Trade Act of 1794.

It prohibited U.S. citizens and residents from building, fitting out, loading, or causing any vessel to sail from a U.S. port “for the purpose of carrying on any trade or traffic in slaves, to any foreign country.”

Ships used that way were subject to forfeiture.

Congress tightened the rules on May 10, 1800, raising penalties and making it illegal for Americans to invest in the trade or serve aboard foreign slave ships.

A separate, broader ban followed in 1807.

The Act Prohibiting Importation of Slaves (signed March 2, 1807) took effect on January 1, 1808—the earliest date the Constitution allowed.

It outlawed bringing enslaved people into the United States from abroad and again forbade fitting out ships in U.S. ports for that purpose. The domestic slave trade inside the United States remained legal until 1865.

Enforcement of all these laws was uneven, which is why American-flagged vessels still appeared in the illegal trade to Cuba and Brazil decades later.

The Rebel Flag was not the official national flag of the Confederacy.
YOU originally posted the "battle flag" to represent the Confederacy, you sheet wearing simpleton! That rag came about around 1861, and merged with the 2nd "national flag" that came around 1863, and the 3rd national flag around in 1865 (thank you Mr. Schiffer of junior high history- 1975). The 1st "national" rag for the Confederacy was in 1861 called the "stars & bars".

You block heads have been flying a "battle flag" for a war that YOU LOST OVER 160 years ago. But you and your ilk are the first ones to tell black folk to "get over slavery" (also ended in 1865), even though the 100 year old child of slavery (aka Jim Crow) ended just 61 years ago officially.

So no matter what alley you detour too, my pointy hooded palooka, you'll ALWAYS be nothing more than a pathetic attention seeking mental midget who's only sense of achievement is blaming black people for your mediocre life and having other POS rally with you. :palm: Carry on.

Nice try, my little pointy hooded lunched. But as always. The devil is in the details. Observe and learn (or in your case deny, revise and or repeat your drivel):

Illegal immigration is a crime, Libby. They are immediately subject to deportation.

The Rebel Flag was not the official national flag of the Confederacy.
What 'Rebel Flag'? The CSA used many different flags, including the Stars and Bars, the Southern Cross, the Rogers flag, the Fisher flag, the various State flags, various national flags of several indian confederacies, the four navy flags, the Knights flag, the Polk flag, etc.

There were some 140 different flags used in the CSA.

Perhaps you mean the Tennessee design of the South Cross?
This was an official flag of the CSA, designed to be used on the land battle fields, to better delineate friend from foe in the smoke and haze of battle.

Are you confusing this with the Stars and Bars, the Stainless Banner, or the Bloodstained banner?

Newsflash for ya, sweetpea, LONG before the crack epidemic (courtesy of our gov't) and hip hop/gangster rap the places I referenced had serious crime problems that involved young teens. Do a little research about The Young Lords or read the book "Down These Mean Streets" by Piri Thomas. Crime waves rise and fall, soI don't know what kind of criminologist you are believing in. Hell, my Pop was NYC cop (patrol, vice, homicide)for over 30 years, and he could tell you some stories thst would make your hair stand on end. What the net is widely broadcasting now was happening on another scale 50 years ago ... and like then similar crimes by white folk were getting scant coverage, which lends to hubris by the likes of Vole. So maybe you should be careful where you stand.
Here's the problem with you redneck white fucks on PPL. I provide sound evidence to support my comments and they're dismissed. All the research in the world is never gonna trump my explanation that counters your fuckin argument and the fact you keep dismissing my theory, my take, I have to conclude, you're unwilling like all redneck bastards to accept reality and facts. YOU CAN NOT EXPECT A GENERATION EMERGING IN LESS THAT A DECADE OF THE TURBULANT 1960'S TO BECOME A WHOLESOME LAW ABIDING COON FLAVORED ICE CREAM CONE FOR WHITE PEOPLE. Keep in mind, the US was almost 90% all white, I challenge you to research the 1960's and you tell me, how in the hell can a generation of blacks entering the 1970's, with no means of financial stability or support, no means of fairness from fake as liberal political leaders, no real legislation to enforce fairness in housing and jobs, how in the fuck does a generation of youth, emerge without REAL SYMPTOMS OF PTSD FROM WHITE MOTHERFUCKERS, LIKE YOU?????......I'LL WAIT!!
