CNN HAS FINALLY GREW A SPINE

"...
the journalism industry operates under a universal core principle known as the "obligation to truth," which is upheld by both global professional standards and individual newsroom charters..."
Probably the main reason so many of them like their jobs, something I witnessed for three years after college working as a reporter for a daily newspaper. The pay wasn't great but the esprit de corps was.

Well, Donnie was up over 30,000 documented lies in his first term, and he’s on track to break that this time around, but if you need actual events or circumstances, knock yourself out:

“False or misleading statements by Donald Trump (second term)”

(now comes the ad hominem fallacy)
.

More on the above:

I'm reading a book on the years 1777-1780 of The Revolutionary War which covers the critical Battle of Saratoga and the American victory that brought France into the war. I wondered how Wikipedia treated the topic, so I looked it up. Here it is, one example of the amazing free treat that Wiki can be:

Any normal non mouth breather magat cultist is your answer on who should determine it as factual and truthful.

Only magats struggle to understand that this...

Trump claims he's presiding over the 'greatest economy we've ever had by far.'

Is just more of the same type propaganda and lies that require a fact check and not just to be aired as if true.

And we get it, you are a magat so you are ok with that lie but do not demand the rest of us to be.
This obligation to truth may be a worthy goal but not sure its something that is always followed.

And a number of younger journalists have pushed back on the traditional notion that they are supposed to be this detached neutral observer simply reporting facts. It's not that truth no longer matters per se, but their identity and lived experience are very much at the forefront of their reporting.

View attachment 94063Its about fuckin time. What purpose does it serve the American people, to have this lying piece of shit hold court, simply to get attention and bellow out lie after lie after lie. What purpose does it serve? CNN back in 2016 did nothing but give Trump free campaign exposure every time the bastard opened his mouth, they like all the major networks placed their lips on his nutts and never stopped until now....Morning Joe went to see the bitch out of fear, they was so locked on his nutts, A Trump press conference, is a complete waste of fuckin time. All of MSM should put Trump and all of his administration permanently on IGNORE!!
So, CNN won't let people decide for themselves what to think about the President and what he says. Instead, they'll be the gatekeepers of truth and provide you the "correct" answers to whatever Trump says after thoroughly scrubbing and parsing it into sound bites that match their political views. Viewers can't be trusted to have the correct views.

What lies? Wikipedia is not a source.
Called the ad hominem fallacy

Lies listed and well documented, and explain to us exactly why Wikipedia is not a source

(Next up I’ll go with either the attacking phrases or the usual “you can not deny your posts” bullshit)

CNN does does that, yes, to a lesser extent than FOX. Apart from the political toning on some networks all national television news is deficient for being necessarily capsulized.

No insult, anchovies. Go learn some Latin.
Lies listed and well documented,
You never have described any.

Attempted negative proof fallacy. Burden fallacy.

If you try to deny your posts.

Not to mention following a fixed, more or less, format.

TV news is scripted. It follows a predictable pattern. Big story, national story, local story, human drama, feel good story. That sort of thing. You get maybe a minute or two of each.
