Hello Miss, Marple.I was never taught that, Mr. Earl. Sure, we were told that at some unknown time the world would come to an end but not in the sense of the "rapture." Perhaps I should have used that word instead of "end times." There was a former poster here who talked about the world ending on a certain day in 2016. She truly believed it, then she had to sign in on the day after and say "oops."

The term,"End Times" is basically the end of time, no matter how it actually ends, Miss Marple.
I was raised in the Presbyterian Church but converted to Catholicism when I married my esposa. I completed the standard Catholic classes to marry in the Catholic Church and then did as many converted Catholics do...I neglected further theological training.
My solace is the verse that says, ""Lo, I am with you always." Which I believe is the assurance that God will be with his followers always, until the end of the earth.
My brother is the theologian in my family, he has a Divinity Degree from Vanderbilt. I worked in the Religion Library there but since the stacks were beneath the main library, during slack times...which was often...I would sneak up to the main library to peruse the Engineering books.
My brother says I am a slacker, in terms of religious theology, and I am, but when I ask him to help me compute the sag of a transmission line between towers, he looks bewildered.
