From your post #12, it doesn't look like you were responding to the OP in any kind of a double entendre way. But if you did, then that's fine.Do you grasp what a double entendre is, or do I have to spell this out for you?

Fun fact......The latest studies concerning female mental health show that almost 50% of American women are under a Doctors care for mental health issues to one degree or another. Sadly this means the other half are going untreated and not receiving the care they so desperately need.![]()

I thought the stupid bitch died decades agoRIP Gloria Steinem.
And if a man has friends and money he doesnt need a woman.I think a lot of women want a man, but I don’t think every woman needs a man.
Wow! Bet you creamed your shorts?RIP Gloria.
I met her...sorta. She and a female friend were in a small, almost empty, restaurant at the Jersey shore. I was stopping for a take-out coffee and donut. When I saw her, I smiled and said, "You look just like Gloria Steinem." She laughed and replied, "I am Gloria Steinem." I recognized the voice and was embarrassed. It was a funny encounter.
Unless he wants to lose both...And if a man has friends and money he doesnt need a woman.
How was it before you realized she was a psycho?My first wife was psycho. My current wife of 30 years, is perfect.
She was wrong about everything, but like many radical Leftists before her, she was in a position to make society change to her ideas and society has paid the price ever since.What is it you people dislike about Gloria?
Can you come up with anything she was wrong about?She was wrong about everything, but like many radical Leftists before her, she was in a position to make society change to her ideas and society has paid the price ever since.

women with friends and money are far more likely to do without a man than men are to do without women.And if a man has friends and money he doesnt need a woman.
Can you come up with anything she was wrong about?
It's humorous, but for some women, it's definitely true.Maybe that's what she meant? I don't know. I just think it's a humorous saying that isn't really true.
CItations to the MUST work out of the home part because if she said that I agree she was wrong? I personally believe that a two parent family is generally better, but I do not think its a must as plenty of healthy well adjuster kids come from a one parent family.The need for a two parent family. That women must work outside of the home for "fulfillment." Those are the two most glaring.

Jarod, you obviously don't have to reply to this but I am curious this idea that she simply said women should have equal rights and that was essentially it.That's kind of like saying how can anyone be against Libertarianism as they simply want people to be free.
Steinem represented a much broader social movement and set of ideas than simply women should have equal rights. People can support equal rights without agreeing with all that Steinem stood for.
And we would very likely not be having this conversation about her if all she did was simply say men and women should have equal rights.
What you posted does not back up your claim. Failed post!Seriously? Steinem loved abortion beyond all things and deeply mourned every live birth. BUT her hostility to marriage, families, and traditional women is legendary.
{
“Feminism did a grave disservice to women, and men by extension, by promoting the idea that marriage and family are lesser pursuits and should be deprioritized,” said Delano Squires, a co-author of the Heritage Foundation’s report, “Saving America by Saving the Family,” which lamented that “the disruptions to American family life caused by bad public policy in the 1960s were exacerbated by cultural upheavals that radically changed social norms around sex, sexuality, marriage, children, and gender roles.”
The report, which among other ideas proposes that Congress create investment accounts with a $2,500 deposit for men and women who marry before the age of 30, was also co-written by Emma Waters, a Heritage Foundation analyst who has emerged as an influential voice for young conservative Christians criticizing what they see as a career-first culture created by feminism to the detriment of female happiness.
In a recent article, Waters took a dig at “Ms.” — both the title and the magazine founded by Steinem.
“Today, the most countercultural thing a 28-year-old woman can do is take her husband’s name and be open to the gift of motherhood,” she wrote.}

Gloria Steinem lived to see a backlash against the strides she helped make for feminism
Reproductive rights, motherhood, childbearing and gender roles are again at the center of culture wars.www.bostonherald.com
Stats show a very different story.
Steinem ran her Magazine as an onslaught against women who chose traditional roles.
