RIP Charlie

Yep. I am a white Christian who believes this is the best country on earth. Why do you hate this country?

You know why, don't you?

BTW, Grok has Jew?No! pegged.

Why might people with a leftist viewpoint claim to to be black, Jewish, etc. online?

People do this for a mix of incentives, ideology, and psychology—not one single motive. The pattern is real and well-documented (Rachel Dolezal, numerous “pretendians,” blackfishing influencers, exaggerated ancestry claims). It is more visible in left-leaning online and institutional spaces because those spaces currently treat certain identities as sources of moral authority and material advantage.

Status and protection in identity-focused spaces

In many progressive activist, academic, media, and social-media environments, “lived experience” as a member of a historically marginalized group is treated as a kind of credential. It can confer:

  • the right to speak on certain topics without being dismissed as an outsider
  • insulation from criticism (“you’re punching down”)
  • social prestige as someone on the “right side” of an oppression hierarchy

If the local culture frames Whiteness (or being part of a majority group) as inherently suspect or complicit, some people try to exit that category. A common psychological move described by observers is: oppressors are bad; I am not bad; therefore I cannot be in the oppressor category. Claiming Black, Native, Jewish, or another minority identity is one way to resolve that tension.

Concrete payoffs

This is not only online clout. Documented cases include:

  • academic jobs, grants, and department leadership in Indigenous or ethnic-studies programs
  • scholarships and set-asides
  • media roles, speaking fees, and “diversity” hiring
  • activist leadership positions

Indigenous writers and researchers have been especially blunt that pretendians often become gatekeepers—deciding who counts, who gets hired, and whose stories get told—while actual community members lose those slots. Family stories of a distant Native ancestor get inflated into a public identity for the same reasons.

Fashion, belonging, and performance

Online, identity is also aesthetic and tribal. Being seen as Black, Native, or Jewish can look more “authentic,” interesting, or morally central than being another ordinary White progressive. Blackfishing (tanning, styling, and captioning to read as mixed or Black) is the influencer version of the same impulse. Anonymity and algorithms make it cheap to perform whatever identity currently gets engagement.

Ideology that treats identity as self-authored

Gender ideology in some circles treats identity as declared rather than observed. A minority of people apply the same logic to race (“transracial”). Most of the mainstream left rejects that extension, which is why Dolezal was widely condemned while gender self-ID was not. The inconsistency itself is revealing: race is treated as more fixed when the political costs of treating it as fluid become obvious.

Not everything is cynical

Some cases involve sincere (if confused) identification after years in activist subcultures, mixed ancestry that gets selectively emphasized, mental-health issues, or family mythology that was never checked. That does not make the claim true, and it does not erase the harm when resources or representation are taken from people who actually belong to the group.

The nuns and priests taught me from grades 1 to 12 that we were christians. Period. No separation by race or ethnicity. Theocratic thick heads like you are too insecure to realize how you identify yourself here is an affront to the Old and New Testament teachings.

The left is celebrating today.

No they aren't. The Left actually thinks that NO ONE should be gunned down, even to protect the Second Amendment.

“I think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights. That’s a prudent deal. It is rational,”
-Charlie Kirk

We on the left disagree with Charlie and feel that his death was a tragedy, even if he himself would not have.

He knew he was about to be terminated.

He knew he was about to be terminated.

No, he knew that the Second Amendment, when you treat it like the US does, requires blood. He just assumed it would be other people's blood.

I feel most sorry for his family. Even though I'm sure Erika is cold-blooded, I'm certain she wouldn't want her children left fatherless. Even if it means she didn't get to become the leader of TPUSA with all that delicious attention and accolades she now gets.

He said that he knew he was about to be terminated for defying the Epsten Class.

Interesting analysis. Except for the insecurity bullshit.

Not an analysis, but a truism that contradicts the christian nationalist mindset. And yes, anyone who has to announce their racial identity as a specification of this particular religion is insecure .... because as I said before your race does NOT determine or influence your faith ... or it at least it doesn't in the New Testament.
