Those who can make you believe absurdities,

I have never done it before, but since he got my thread removed by whining, Ima do it.

The list is long and almost entirely on the Left.
Francisco Franco in Spain,
António de Oliveira Salazar in Portugal,
Benito Mussolini in Italy (fascism sits further right than conventional conservatism but is generally placed there),
Augusto Pinochet in Chile,
Jorge Rafael Videla in Argentina,
Suharto in Indonesia.

From AI... on HITLER.

Where did Hitler fit in

Firmly on the far right, in the standard political-science and historical classification — though it's worth explaining why, since the "National Socialist" name trips people up.

The core markers historians and political scientists use to place a movement on the spectrum are things like: does it treat human worth as fixed by group identity (race, nation, "blood") or does it treat people as fundamentally equal; is it revolutionary against the existing order or does it seek to restore/purify a mythologized past; does it ally with traditional elites (industrialists, military, church) against organized labor, or the reverse. Nazism scores unambiguously on the far-right side of every one of those axes: it was built on racial hierarchy and biological determinism, it was explicitly counter-revolutionary against Bolshevism and Marxism (Hitler's entire early political identity was formed as an anti-communist street-fighting movement), it crushed independent trade unions and folded them into a state-controlled labor front, and it entered power in 1933 through an alliance with conservative elites — industrialists, the army, the old aristocracy — who saw it as a bulwark against the socialist and communist left, not as a fellow-traveler of the left.

The "socialist" in the name is the thing people point to as a counterargument, and it's worth taking seriously rather than dismissing: the NSDAP did use anti-capitalist-sounding rhetoric early on, and the regime did practice heavy state direction of the economy. But party programs and rhetoric aside, the substance of Nazi economic policy left private industry and ownership intact and profitable (often highly so, through arms contracts and Aryanization seizures), used state power to smash the actual organized socialist and communist left as its first order of business, and subordinated economic policy entirely to race and war aims rather than to class leveling. That combination — hierarchy over equality, national/racial purity over class solidarity, elite alliance over labor alliance — is exactly why the "socialist" label is treated by most historians as propaganda branding rather than a real fit, and why fascism generally, Nazism specifically, sits at the far-right end of essentially every serious taxonomy of 20th-century ideologies.

There's a smaller, mostly non-academic strand of commentary (Jonah Goldberg's Liberal Fascism is the best-known version) arguing fascism is better understood as a form of left-statism because of its economic controls and cult of the state. It's a minority position that hasn't displaced the mainstream classification, but it's out there if you want to read the argument in its strongest form rather than take my summary of it.

False, they were all authorities. Like out President. Luckily out system has held him mostly at bay.
So, how many people has Trump rounded up, put in prison camps, and then executed exactly? How many political prison camps has he established and forced the inmates into hard labor?

Every person on my list was politically on the Left.

How can anyone take Gardner seriously if he thinks Napolean is a leftist.
Yes. Napoleon was an outgrowth of the French revolution. Bonapartism, is the term coined by no less than Karl Marx who described it as an early step towards Communism.

So the left is imperialistic. Only you believe that. And I know you never read a word of marx. Here comes the picture and back to ignoring you

Imperialism is a form of Leftism. There is a strong, authoritarian ruler. The economic system is, essentially, Socialist.

It is clear, YOU, never read Marx. Das Kapital was not his only work.

I studied Das Kapital in college. And Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844. And Hegel who he frequently references.

Alligator Ally.

Are you so dumb as to think that is the only mark of authoritarianism?

It is funny you like bashing the liberal arts and then challenge people on topics of history and politics.
