Moral relativism

It's "transcendent" which is code for "buuuuuullllllshiiiiiit"
Transcendent just means beyond the material world, something that is beyond ordinary experience.

I'm not even sure why you get so stressed and derogatory when discussing morality. Morality is a spiritual or religious belief. As a strict physical materialist it's not even a word that should concern you.

All a physical materialist like you should be concerned about are the behaviors and attributes that give you and your kin group the best advantage of protecting and propagating your genetic information.

A relativist says we construct our morality and practice and enforce it by law or social shunning.
The absolutist says there must be a principle or theory which justifies any moral practice.

The innate and objective belief in our conscience that babies should not be burned alive does not exist in quarks and electrons. It transcends it.
Who today believes babies should be burned? In the US what laws do we have allowing this?

So you're encouraging this puke to be inbred tribal and like that? Wtf?!
Start warring with what's perceived to be rival factions?

Maybe. But I do not see how Zoroastrianism is relevant to this discussion.
I say it's relevant, bitch! Here's why:
It's because they figured out the rules God instilled this world with fairly accurately and that's what they go by.
Most are Iranian.
Your problem is you do not know the rules, most likely due to hubris.
Not definitely, but most likely.

Transcendent just means beyond the material world,

SOmething you have ZERO direct experience of that you can prove. Meanwhile I can prove the existence of emergent properties.

Face it: you are just like the caveman who cowered in the cave thinking the thunder was god. What you can't explain you think must be from beyond reality.

Meanwhile I'm more than willing to work with the ONLY THINGS THAT ACTUALLY CAN BE DETECTED.

You just make up shit and call it a day.

Fascinating that an atheist believes there simply cannot be any absolute sense of right and wrong, irrespective of whether God, Brahman, or the Tao exist.

All magical bullshit.

Of course if you can PROVIDE evidence for the existence of any of that then you will be doing the amazing.

Go ahead.

Give it a go.

I love how you tell everyone what they are supposed to do based on your failure to understand their position.

Okay. But I am arguing we have moral codes with or without God.
And that's just not true, because all "morality' is ultimately compared to God's standard, because it is the ultimate standard.
Prove me wrong on that. :|
It's the highest standard. Boop!
There ya go! :D
