I really like that John Fetterman…

I really like that John Federman continues to make friends with Republicans, I think that after this coming election, all sides should make a concerted effort.

Trump will be mostly irrelevant, so him threatening Republicans for being friendly with Democrats will have no weight.

He is a right wing jerkoff. I wish PA would vote him out.

I hope Federman remains a democrat?!!:dunno:

Does that mean all the predictions claiming he's going to drag the GOP down in the midterms are wrong, Brad?

Has President Trump threatened any Republicans for being friendly with Senator Fetterman?

No.

There are no credible reports that President Trump has threatened Republicans for being friendly with Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA). The opposite has been reported.

Trump and Senate Republicans have been courting Fetterman, encouraging closer ties in hopes he might switch parties or become an independent to help the GOP hold the Senate. Politico and others described a “quiet campaign” in which Trump offered Fetterman his “total and complete endorsement” plus a financial windfall if he ran as a Republican. Trump even used Sean Hannity as an intermediary to deliver that pitch.

Fetterman’s closest Republican relationships are with Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA) and Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL). Those friendships are frequently cited as the main reason a flip might even be conceivable. McCormick and Fetterman have done joint events (including promoting “Trump Accounts”), formed an unusual joint fundraising committee, and Fetterman recorded a video for the GOP midterm convention introducing and praising McCormick while saying he would work with Trump on steel issues. Trump’s team amplified the clip.

Fetterman has repeatedly said he will stay a Democrat, telling Politico “I’m not changing” and that he’d be “a shitty Republican.” He has also publicly criticized Trump’s rhetoric toward other Democrats (the “seditious behavior, punishable by death” posts), but that is not the same as Trump threatening Republicans over Fetterman.

One separate incident involved Trump reportedly berating McCormick in a closed-door meeting over a missed vote—but McCormick was actually with Trump at a Pennsylvania rally at the time, so the criticism was misplaced and unrelated to Fetterman.

In short, the documented pattern is recruitment and encouragement of the McCormick/Britt friendships, not punishment for them.

No, it is not. It is important they represent the people.
Making friends does not prevent you from representing the people. Just because your friends, does not mean you will vote with them.
