Its not just US News. Forbes, Time, and every other college ranking system I have seen routinely ranks Harvard, Columbia, MIT, Princeton, University of Chicago, Stanford, Yale in the uppermost echelon of America's elite universities.

This is common knowledge and shouldn't even remotely surprise you

There are certain colleges around the country that are much more exclusive than those.

Dartmouth.

I went to a school with a kid that made a miniature atom bomb.
Not an elite school, no. There was a physical representation of the 4th dimension, too.

Who cares? You thought about this for three minutes. Doesn't matter. All widely-accepted college ranking entities, like USN&WR, Forbes and Time, routinely rank Harvard, Columbia, Yale, MIT, Princeton, etc. among the upper echelon of America's elite universities.

I'm not buying the bullshit that USN&WR, Forbes, Time got it all wrong and obscure poster Murph63 spent three minutes and got it all right.

It is so entrenched in conventional wisdom that only the retarded or the thoroughly dishonest would invest time claiming that Harvard, Princeton, Yale, MIT, Stanford are not really among America's top echelon of universities.

Dartmouth is Ivy League, and Dartmouth is northeastern United States. So all that does is 100% support my very factual observation that the north-northeast is an epicenter for most of America's top ranked universities.
