No, it isn't. It is simply applying a different standard to something that results in the in place system being shown to be what it really is: Made up based on opinions and subjective use of terms.
For example, the Nazis and Hitler are usually said to be Nationalists and that is a quality of the far Right. Yet, there are plenty of clear examples of radical Leftist Nationalism to be had, such as:
Baathism and Nassirism
Revolutionary patriotism under Stalin and Mao
Castro's 26th Julio movement
So, saying the Nazis are on the Right because they are Nationalists is purely subjective opinion given clear and multiple examples from polities that are said be on the far Left.
Under the system I classify Right and Left, Nationalism is measured only by its requirements that the state dominate the individual or not. The more a nationalist movement places the emphasis on obedience and fealty to the state, the further Left it is. That is measurable and consistent.
