Those who can make you believe absurdities,

Debt to income ratio = total student debt / expected first year salary. That is all anyone needs to know about a liberal arts degree. Nothing political there at all.

Most people with degrees in liberal arts go to grad school.

You lie.

Large-scale outcome data put the share who eventually earn a graduate degree at roughly two in five, not a majority; first-destination surveys typically show 18–22% heading straight into graduate or professional school.

The debt-to-income point @Sailor made still applies to the BA itself.

So both the thread-starting quote and the later “most go to grad school” assertion have been checked. The first is fake; the second is not supported by the numbers.

The right hates philosophy and the liberal arts, but that is who their own leaders are.
Almost all of our presidents were undergraduate humanities, liberal arts, social science majors.

Carter is the only modern president I know of who can be said to have had an engineering and science undergraduate education.

can make you commit atrocities. --Voltaire.
So get people to believe they can change genders and you can get them to lop their parts off? So get people to believe killing children is less important than postpartum depression and you can escape justice. I guess he was right.

Almost all of our presidents were undergraduate humanities, liberal arts, social science majors.

Grant, Hoover, and Eisenhower all had engineering/science undergrads. The rest of the modern list is mostly history, poli-sci, economics, and international affairs — which is not the same as “the right hates philosophy.”

Right, Reagan, George Bush, Obama, Donald Trump certainly were not STEM majors.

Nobody I know who was a humanities or liberal arts major ended up with a Starbucks or Wal-Mart career.

A liberal arts undergraduate degree can and does pave the way for graduate school, law school, teaching certification programs, etc.

The tale of the 45 year old history major brewing up coffee at Starbucks is almost exclusively a FOX creation.

A B.A. in history is not enough. Anyone majoring in history would be told you need grad school.

You could teach high school with a BA in history and a teaching certification, but you're right about graduate school if you want to work in higher education
