The last 30 years or so it has moved up the charts.......Lots of alumni $$$ funding it and its the Flagship Univ. in Florida. Difficult to get in without very high scores. My first cousin Nancy was best friend with Tim's mom for years. Went to the church daddy Tebow started in Gville. Yeah, we have some OBNOXIOUS fans and SOS enabled them with his success. Our gov. is trying to micro manage our university system now and we have dropped some. A large exodus of great professors I hear...........We used to have a Board of Regents that did a GREAT job with our Univ, system. Our leadership (politicians) abolished it so now we have a board at each Univ making those decisions........Lots of good old boys got new jobs from it.........

In that nice thread? I don’t have to look. Before I was banned from there it was local weather reports, health updates and meds they take, how their tomatoes are growing and recipes. It never changed.

At USC in the early 2000's we were the "it" school for a period of time and got as high as #22 in the US News rankings. But thanks to several scandals and poor leadership from our last two Presidents, we lost that momentum and fallin off slightly.
We're a private school obviously so we don't deal with the gov't in the same way you do, but both stories here speak to the importance of leadership.

If you read my posts there you’d see I tried to fit in and was always polite. Even went the extra mile and gave our 10 day forecast.
Apparently I disagreed with Foul on some minor topic and she ordered Always Wrong Walt to ban me from the thread.
Why would I be interested in what meds you take?. Also I’m more interested in how my own tomatoes (and kale, lettuce, onions, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc.) are doing.
And I’m not desperate enough to discuss it with make believe “friends”.
