Moral relativism

No. "Morality" usually refers to a universal code of behavior. I deny such a thing. Why I talk about ethics, not morality.
The subject of the thread you started is "moral relativism." Do you still believe that female genital mutilation is immoral? Yes, And you know why it's immoral and you know that it's a immoral regardless of location, religion, usefulness, etc. You are saying that you change your views because of your politics.

Yep but You didn't retract it because you actually changed your views. You are retracting it because of politics.
Philosophers use three categories for ethics. Deontology, which is based on principles (Kant). Virtue, based on a list of good behaviors (Aristotle).
Consequentialism, based on the consequences of an action; utilitarianism.

Your concept of morality is the first, deontology.

If you want to continue please be respectful and do not accuse me of bad faith.
I don't believe it's necessarily bad faith. I think yours is a very standard liberal view of morality and you may not even realize that politics is a factor.

We both know the harm done to a girl is what makes FGM immoral and the harm done to humans that makes slavery immoral, even if legal and socially acceptable.

You can explain to yourself why you retracted a statement that you know to be true.

Are you saying all liberals are moral relativists? That does not seem to be true.
Definitely not all, but there are things that are more common among liberals than conservatives and your view, that you are now regressing to, is standard among liberals.

You were certain, and correct, about the connection between morality and harm. Like I said, if it's not politics, I'd love to hear an explanation for why your mind changed.

So, most liberals are moral relativists. Still seems false.
By the way, I am a leftist, not a liberal.

Terminology. I do not use "immoral" because it is an absolutist term, that is, used by absolutists.
I use "ethics" to discuss how people behave, not morality.

Ethical and unethical aren't absolutist terms?

Again, you started this thread about morality, not ethics. While it may not always be obvious That in action is moral or immoral, there are some actions that are clearly moral or immoral.

You understood this about two pages ago and are now regressing.

Revising, not regressing.
I asked you what makes something immoral and you said that it harms a person. I then clarified that FGM would harm a female in West Africa and you didn't only agree. You absolutely agreed.

Now politics is getting in the way of what you knew to be absolutely true a short time ago.

There's no point in continuing this.
