In a road trip! Gas, $4.44 a gallon!

LOL, ever been to California? You trying to flex how much less you pay?
State and local tax add ons, and the funny part of those are that if the local governments eliminate or reduce the tax the retailers often won’t reduce the cost proportionally. Prices never go back to where they came

I paid over $7/gallon this week. Now I do use premium. I think regular was around $6.70. That's about $2.25 more than what Jarod is complaining about. That's a lot of local and state taxes.

“Karen,” wasn’t that like nearly a decade ago, nice to see maga right on top of things
Poor anchovies,
Karen's are still alive, and in fact, a few of them spend their days here seeking out and barfing on specific posters. They also waste their time trying to goad those who disagree with them into violating the forum rules.
Easy to identify;
Just check their reaction statistics for a clue.

It's been at or above $4 a gallon here because we, unfortunately, get our gasoline from California. But that's changing. Philips and Kinder Morgan are building a new 20" pipeline to Phoenix meaning we won't have to use California refineries any more. That will drop the price of gas, all on its own by $.10 to $.25 a gallon.

Of course, since gasoline consumption is going up, and production in the US is relatively flat, of course the price keeps rising. Maybe we should build a few new refineries...

Don’t know where “Jarod” lives, but if I am not mistaken California is famous for their State and Local taxes. Now if you grew up in a pedestrian mass transit environment it wouldn’t be so burdensome. I have a daughter in Boston plus a son in NYC and neither owns a car, and I only need mine if I leave the local area. Buy a bike

1) F Boston.

2) I work out about 1 1/2 hours a day, 7 days a week, and there is zero chance I'm riding a bike up and down these SF hills. And am I suppose to put my daughter and all her sports gear on the bike as well? Bike out to the Olympic Club with my clubs on my back? No thank you.

3) F Boston. When I lived in that sh*thole I didn't have a car. Made it even more miserable because it was harder to leave.

Whoa, lot of hate going on there, and how can one hate Boston, one of America’s iconic cities, and you don’t need a car in Boston

And running errands shouldn’t burn thru gas, and I play golf closer to home
