Trump asked Xi to stop supporting Iran​

President Trump asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to halt any assistance to Iran when the two spoke during his state visit, U.S. Ambassador to Beijing David Perdue said Friday.

Why it matters: China's economic, intelligence and military support for Iran has undermined Trump's effort to isolate the country amid the ongoing war.

The U.S. is conducting a massive economic pressure campaign against Iran, but without Chinese cooperation it will only be partially effective.
Driving the news: U.S. officials have been concerned since the start of the war that China is supplying Iran with air defense systems and parts to build drones.

In recent weeks, Iran has used high-resolution imagery obtained from Chinese commercial satellites that allow it to target U.S. bases in the Middle East as well as aircraft carriers and other Navy ships in the Gulf and in Arabian Sea,

Trump is a dope. China sides with Iran and nothing he can do about it.
 
People are beginning to notice that just as with Trumps trip to China this was mostly a tourist trip.....very little work got done.

Xi is in the driver's seat and can continue to support Iran as much as he wants, until Trump grovels and offers major concessions.

The Russians/Chinese/Iranians know that they either hang together or they hang separately as the Empire has zero interest in peace and zero honor......Trump yap changes none of this.

And what do the MAGATs think of it? They've been brainwashed by the #Corruption-in-Chief for years to see China as our mortal enemy. Now we're supposed to be buddy-buddy with them because he wants some sort of "win" on his record?

My X feed indicates that MAGA love watching Trump the Brute threatening Iran with destruction one day, slobbering over Xi the next.....getting nothing accomplished.
