IT'S OFFICIAL: President Trump announces the largest steel plant in American HISTORY, which will be built in IOWA

Once again, another stupid ass, low paid Maga troll parrots Trump trash WITHOUT doing even the most basic research ... as we all know that Maga mooks and "critical thinking" are seldom synonymous. Check this out .... easily accessed on Google:

Mesabi Metallics is a Minnesota-based steel and mining company, owned by India’s Essar Group, that is developing a $2.5 billion iron ore mine in Nashwauk and a $15 billion fully integrated steel plant in Iowa — the largest of its kind in U.S. history
Mesabi Metallics is headquartered in Nashwauk, Minnesota, on the Iron Range, and is chaired by Rewant Ruia with Joe Broking as President & CEO The company is part of Essar Group, an Indian conglomerate, and is focused on building a 100% American steel supply chain — mining iron ore in Minnesota and manufacturing it in Iowa

The hypocrisy and double standards are astounding! I recall the right-wing media having a shit fit when it was discovered that presidential candidate Al Gore had a donor that was tied to the PRC. Then there's been the never-ending caterwauling since 9-11 about the Muslims and Sharia law taking over America. Then the Orange Oaf campaigning in 2016 carrying on about how "chy-nuh" is "eating our lunch" in trade and on the international market.

And the Triple Trumper's and maga media whores all seal clapped and barked the company line ... just as they are now with total lack of self awareness.

Mind you, there is no guarantee that this "deal" will go through, as the Orange Oaf has a private and political history of making promises he can't keep. But we are living through the vestiges of Orwell's 1984, where the state can change the narrative at the drop of a hat and the populace (or in our case part of it) just goes with the flow.

As the old Chinese curse goes, we are living in interesting times.
The deal is already going through, Libby.

You cannot blame Democrat problems on Trump.

According to the Des Moines Register the state runners have agreed to a give away package, but are not telling the citizens what it is.

Trained workers and inability to affordably ship ore.....even refining the ore down to pellets takes a lot of shipping, and the river is not usable all the way up to where it is mined and is not intended to be used here.....it is intended to come in by rail.
“Trained workers”? Genius, eastern Iowa/western Illinois has been a manufacturing hub for generations. John Deere. Rock Island Arsenal. Caterpillar. Foundries, machining, heavy equipment—and there’s already a modern electric-arc steel mill near Muscatine.

And Iowa checks a hell of a lot of boxes for heavy industry: abundant water, relatively low energy costs, an established rail network, central access to major markets, and labor costs that are competitive with just about anywhere in the country. The climate is hardly some industrial deal-breaker, either

Mesabi also isn’t planning to throw raw ore in a canoe and float it down from Minnesota. The ore gets processed into pellets there and shipped to Iowa by rail.

This region was building farm equipment, weapons, castings and steel while your grandfather was still learning to spell “logistics.”

And really, manufacturing steel is probably the greatest thing to come to Iowa since sliced bread.

Which, fittingly enough, was developed by a guy there too.

Well, on related news Trump finally pushed the EPA, Forest Service, Interior, et al., to finalize their reports on the Resolution Copper mine in Arizona. It's moving ahead to production now and will become the largest copper mine in the world when in full production. That's after lots of foot dragging by Biden.

This project started late in Obama's second term in 2014, and has moved forward with the speed bump of the Autopen administration. But after just 12 years it's finally going to open.
Seems there was foot dragging during the first trump administration, too.

That period saw a massive push back by tiny radical Leftist environmentalist groups, particularly by one Wendsler Nosie and his band of idiots in Apache Stronghold. This lunatic turns up with this followers--usually in the tens--and mounts protests and legal action against anything anyone is doing in rural Arizona.

His protests aren't based on science or reason but rather on hatred and stubbornness. He's ended up losing virtually every fight he's started but because of the US legal system and plenty of radical Leftist donors, he can drag things out for years. It's how he makes a living.

Have fun figuring out what the fuck he's talking about.

Lets say this thing happens, and at the size that is claimed.......how many trains of pellets a month is that if it all comes by rail as I heard?

I also heard that part of the giveaway package is that IOWA will build whatever new rail is needed.

The newer technology requires training. You do not plug new workers into old systems. New machinery, new tech require retraining and constant training.
