California lands six universities in the global top 25

The fancy Creole-French restaurants, bistros, & cafes wouldn't be able to stay in business if the French Quarter constantly reeked of an offensive piss odor "all the time". :palm: I don't think you actually lived in NOLA. You are making statements about NOLA that make no sense.

People didn’t piss in the restaurants. Besides only a small fraction of the quarter is restaurants. It’s like you think the entire quarter is Jackson square and Royal St.
The upper half from N. Rampart to Dauphine is pretty much skid row.

You never lived there, just visited for a few days.

If you lived in Kenner and worked at/attended University of New Orleans, what on Earth were you doing driving on Airline Highway "every day"? Why didn't you take Interstate 10?
👉 The driving route from Kenner, Louisiana to the University of New Orleans is approximately 15 miles and takes about 22 minutes via I-10 E and I-610 E.

👉 Driving from Kenner to the University of New Orleans using Airline Highway takes approximately 35 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.

You didn't really live in NOLA, did you @murph63

Why did you fabricate that whole story?

I10 was a mess. Traffic there was stop and go from Clearview on during the morning commute .
Airline Hwy. , north to Causeway , right on W. Esplanade is a better way to get to the Lakefront.
You never lived there.

I took I-10 to the downtown central business district every morning and always made it to my parking space in the Superdome in ~20 to 25 minutes.

I found that after work the Earhart Expressway tended to be the quickest way to get to eastern Jefferson Parish.

Taking Airline Highway would have been a dumbass thing to do.

You are not a reliable source of information on NOLA, particularly after your faceplant on the oil industry there

I don't live there "now". I haven't lived there since the 1990s.
You never did, fraud.
I lived for two years in Metairie,
You were safe there. You could’ve lived in a $1.5M mansion in the 70115 zip cope and you wouldn’t dare wander two blocks away. That’s what makes NOLA such a dangerous city to live in. And it’s virtually impossible to drive 1/2 mile within the city without the very real possibility of getting carjacked.

You didn’t live in Kenner. That’s completely different.
And you didn’t live in NOLA either.

I didn’t live in NOLA!
ftfy
I can tell.
You fell flat on your face making bogus incorrect announcements about the NOLA oil industry, and you're giving traffic tips to get from Jefferson Parrish to the central business district and the Gentilly neighborhood via Airline Highway.

Your information about NOLA can't be trusted.

@murph63 @Moosakofsky
Google maps says the best route from Kenner to University of New Orleans during rush hours is Interstate 10 and then the I-610 bypass to miss the gridlock on I-10 in the urban core.

Google maps is silent about taking the "scenic" route down Airline highway. 🤣

You dudes are completely unreliable about information on NOLA

"The quickest route from Kenner, LA to the University of New Orleans (UNO)lau during rush hour depends entirely on which direction you bypass the worst of the Interstate 10 bottleneck.
Under normal conditions, taking I-10 East all the way through the city is standard. However, during peak rush hour (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM or 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM), the absolute best approach to minimize gridlock is to use I-610 East to skirt north of downtown."

People didn’t piss in the restaurants!
You don't seem to understand capitalism.
A constant, lingering offensive odor of piss at the entrance to a restaurant or on the veranda of a bistro would be a business-killer.

I occasionally smelled some funk in the quarter after Mardi Gras.
But when we took business colleagues to fancy Creole-French restaurants in the quarter we did not have to jump over pools of piss, or gag our way through a noxious fume of piss odor to get to the maître d'.

There you go again. What would you do without google, fraud?

If one lived in Kenner close to the river Airline Hwy. > Causeway > W. Esplanade is the best route to UNO (now officially LSUNO).

You dudes are completely unreliable about information on NOLA
And you made it 20 months there without getting murdered. (y) Such a nice place.

LOLOLOL. You act like I lived in one place and only ever drove anywhere else. In point of fact I didn't live IN kenner if you had read what i wrote, I lived out near Kenner. ALSO I didn't say I worked at UNO I said I worked nearby.

I didn't tell you ANY DETAILS about my life there for obvious reasons. You are an extremely dangerous person to dox myself to. You have no morals.

I don't need to justify my route to a guy who didn't notice any poverty or urine smell in the quarter. YOu weren't there. I was.

Those places would never be north of Dauphine or east of St. Philip, fraud.

You live life in a tiny little constrained bubble of offense. You have to make sure you are always RIGHT and everyone else is WRONG.

But you dropped the ball a few times, Dr. AI/Dr. Wiki/Dr. Google.

You've tipped your hat more than once. ;)

Crypiss doesn’t know that Kenner stretches from the Mississippi River to Lake Pontchartrain.
He can’t even use Google Maps correctly.

As you noted! There's a LOT of Jeff Parish out that way both north and south.

(NOte how the ONLY places Cy seems to know are POYDRAS street and I-10. I have to wonder how little he saw of the place, especially since he seemed to miss the crime and poverty. But I guess if you're a rich privileged white guy on a bender visit to NOLA it's reasonable to miss all that gettin' your dick sucked off at the Artists Cafe)

I occasionally smelled some funk in the quarter after Mardi Gras.

THIS is fuckin' hilarious! Seriously dude you look like a moron when you say shit like that. You ONLY ever visited the Quarter on your bender visits to the POydras office of whatever oil company hired you to sit and log sediment.

But when we took business colleagues to fancy Creole-French restaurants in the quarter we did not have to jump over pools of piss, or gag our way through a noxious fume of piss odor to get to the maître d'.

Maitre d'. OMG you were the most privileged little white boy in all of NOLA. Next time stay for more than a weekend, TOURIST.

My funniest NOLA story:

Once some friends came to visit so we went out to the Quarter and were hanging at CdM for some beignets. there was a guy set up with a HUGE reflector telescope on the sidewalk so we dutifully paid our dollar and took a look. It was centered on a PICTURE PERFECT image of Saturn. Could not have been better. Straight outta a textbook.

After we stepped away a couple of us were joking around suggesting he had just pasted a picture of Saturn on the bottom of the reflector. He overheard us and lost his shit. He then HILARIOUSLY claimed that "If the police saw me doing that I'd be arrested for fraud!" Which was HILARIOUS in the quarter because The Quarter was about 3/4 fraud games. The phrase we always heard was "If you can't make money in the Quarter you ain't tryin'."

I bet the guy with the reflector telescope was Cypress.

Crypiss doesn’t know!

A History of Getting Shit Wrong

"All the oil companies completely bugged out of NOLA in the 1980s!"

"The fastest way from Kenner to UNO is Airline Highway!"

"There were no oil company engineering and geoscience staff left in NO in the 1990s!"

"The French Quarter reeks of piss fumes ALL THE TIME!"

That's NOLA ! I swear everyone there seems to be on the take. No wonder Cy liked it so much.
