If the Dems Win Big in the Midterms, How Much Can They Really Help Iran?

A Dem House and Senate would still have the problem that Trump does whatever he wants and defies you to stop him. The laws and regulations mean nothing to him.

Well that part is not entirely true. It depends on whether the Dems get the Senate and by how much.

If the pull off a Senate majority in axes where it takes only a limited number of Republican votes to override a veto you could see Trump’s ruling by Executive fiat through EC’s greatly curtailed. Especially as Trump goes deeper into his lame duck period, as Nov. 2028 campaigning for Senate starts and running Pubsxesnt more and more distance from an unpopular POTUS leaving office.

In fact, if the Dems take the Senate and a the House moves for a third impeachment, Trump may say “screw it” and bail early, turning the keys over to Vance. His pockets already lined, his ability to line them further greatly curtailed, and his soft landing “peace organization” giving him a place to have global influence outside the U.S. from a possible then Dem Dem POTUS as well looking to criminally induct him now that his POTUS immunity is no longer in effect.

That way lies some pretty hard lessons for America.

Yeah Iran has been a terrorist state for 40+ years after the Islamic Revolution and the War with Iraq they fought (with America helping Iraq at the time), but ask yourself why the Islamic Revolution even happened in the first place.

It was decades of US-backed dictatorship from the Shah and grotesque oppression. The Shah was installed by the US and the Brits after they destroyed the democratically elected leader (Mossadegh) in '53.

America forgot their history but only for things >47 years. The Iranians probably haven't.

There's always important lessons to learn by going back far enough to see who did what.
I know about the 1953 CIA regime change in Iran, if that's what you're getting at.
Regime change is always a bad idea, IMO.
I don't think I've seen the outcome of any be good yet.
Hillary destroyed Libya.

The Mullahs are in power. They dint need help staying there. Trump balled ttat up when he botched the timing on his initial bombings, waiting to do so until after those mullahs had killed off most of those protesting against their retaining said power.

The old man is dead, his very pussed off crippled son is head mullah in charge, they are all ruling from deep underground and Trump missed the shot.

So why do they give a fig about who is running Congress in January. They are doing what they are doing regardless of who wins.
It's possible that the mullahs run out of money and lackeys.

who cares
You should. Stupid moves by morons that effect foreign policy and global economics is not good. Trump's choice to start a hot war with Iran is problematic. The Democrats shutting that down simply to spite Trump is idiotic.

For example, Trump's campaign there is having a really negative effect on Iran even if the MSM is largely, if not entirely, ignoring it. The rial is trading now on money markets at about 2.7 million rials to the dollar. In effect, Iran's monetary system and net worth have collapsed. The country is in economic freefall.

The point is Iran's economy is about to collapse entirely, like that of Zimbabwe or Venezuela, to mention two others that similarly collapsed. Sure the ayatollahs and IRGC zealots can hang on to power, but they'll be putting all their effort into just keeping control over the country and little else.

The war on Iran is unconstitutional. Nothing good comes from it.

Did Congress declare war? No.
They don't have to. You listen to idiots on the Left far too much.

In 1793, during Thomas Jefferson's time as President, Congress suspended repayment of loans for the revolution to France. France responded by sending privateers (legalized pirates) to plunder US shipping and extract payment that way. This resulted in the first war the United States fought, the quasi-war with France. The war, mostly at sea, lasted nearly five years.

Congress never declared war and the Supreme Court ruled that the war was still legal. That ruling has been the basis for many US military actions since including Vietnam, and the Gulf War, among others.

So, your "Did Congress declare war" bullshit is exactly that.

I just told you ten minutes ago that - despite how impossible this may sound to you - I'm still getting better. Thanks for noticing though.
I notice that I am helping you get better. But I guess I should have highlighted that "sane" aspect.

Don't worry, though, I am with you through this.

I read the Constitution. Something you fail to do.
You can read? Amazing! You clearly don't understand a thing.

Congress does not have to formally declare war for hostilities to exist with another nation. That is clearly set out in legal precedent.
