Do the humanities need a rebrand?

No. There are governing--private--institutions which do that. Nothing to do with government.
Nope. Universities are funded by a government, and the Board of Regents determine what degrees are to be offered. The Board of Regents itself is appointed by that government. This is State government, not federal.

the federal government has to approve it or they don't get paid.
Well that certainly never used to be the case. Education was state-funded only.
I believe it was Clinton that started Federal block grants.
He also changed things to where Uncle Sugar backs up student loans.
That was a Cloward-Piven move on the US higher education system.
Campus population and administrative staff increased by 200% almost overnight.
As did the cost of tuition and books.

Wrong. A student may apply for a loan. A private company makes that loan.
The Federal Student Aid (FSA) is a loan from the federal government. Private companies are used to service that loan. In other words, the federal government has outsourced it's billing and payments...but the loan itself is by the federal government.

Each loan servicer for this program must be approved by the federal government and conform to the FSA laws.

You never worked in the oil industry!!
Still stressing out over answers you don't like hearing?

If a job in the petroleum exploration profession seems so exotic and fantastical to you, your social circle must be extremely limited to minimum wage workers, Walmart stock boys, and Uber eats drivers.

Do you actually know any college graduates?

Inversion fallacy.

Irrelevant question. Irrelevance fallacy.

They are trained and responsible for their well!
Drilling crews are third-party contractors who are paid to drill the well, period.

It's Exxon's well and they wanted their own petroleum engineers and geoscientists to evaluate the geophysical log data and determine if there are economically recoverable hydrocarbon reserves.
Now you claim to be a nuclear specialist? LOL
A petroleum geoscientist has to know how to evaluate neutron log data to determine natural gas saturation and porosity.

We needed to know how to evaluate gamma ray logs because that's how we could determine lithology and net sand in the wellbore.
Now you claim to be a sound specialist? LOL
We needed to be able to evaluate sonic logs because they give you information on rock properties, and we could also use the sonic data to tie them to our 3-D seismic models.

That doesn't change the fact that that are trained and responsible for their well.
It's Exxon's well
So Exxon hired them....and...?
and they wanted their own petroleum engineers and geoscientists to evaluate the geophysical log data and determine if there are economically recoverable hydrocarbon reserves.
Geophysical is not a word.
There is no such thing as 'geoscience'.
You are not an engineer. You never worked in the oil business.
A petroleum geoscientist has to know how to evaluate neutron log data to determine natural gas saturation and porosity.
There is no such thing as 'geoscience'.
A neutron is not a log or data.
A neutron is not a sponge.
A neutron is not methane.
We needed to know how to evaluate gamma ray logs because that's how we could determine lithology and net sand in the wellbore.
'We'. Are you having another schizophrenic episode again. You are only one person trying to puff himself up by pretending, Cyborg.
A gamma ray is not a log.
A neutron is not a gamma ray.
Lithology is not a noun.
Sand is not a profit and loss statement.
Wellbore is not a word.

We needed to be able to evaluate sonic logs because they give you information on rock properties, and we could also use the sonic data to tie them to our 3-D seismic models.
Sonic is not a log.
Sonic is not information. He is a character in a video game.
Sonic is not data (other than as an asset in a video game).

llliteracy: plural used as singular. Numerous buzzwords. Verb used as noun.

You are pretending again.
You never worked on an oil rig.
You never worked for an oil company.
You don't know your way around Louisiana.
You don't know how to handle explosives.
You don't know what science is.
You don't know what data is.
You deny statistical math.
You don't know how to find oil.
