El-Sayed’s comments on NBC’s Meet the Press came with the Democrats favored to win control of the House of Representatives during the 3 November midterms – and polls show that the party could also win Senate seats in states that traditionally elect Republicans and gain a majority there, too.

The numbers do not matter. Trump's first statement about elections being crooked was made over 10 years ago in his first step into politics. He said he would likely run, and the only way he could lose was if he were cheated. I was shocked because anyone in politics knew we had the best and most accurate system in the world. We still do. But he planted an evil seed of doubt that has harmed the country bigly.
Trump has polling too. He knows how big a crime he will have to pull to keep the House and Senate. He has no trouble cheating and lying. He will try to overthrow the election if he gets spanked. The disgusting grifter will only accept that his side won.

Unfortunately you are correct. Around the world, people who attempt a coup and are not punished try again.
 
Trump is like the boy who too many times cried "wolf". Everyone expects him to claim the election was rigged. At this point the only effect will be to cast more doubt on that first cry.
