Renee Good's family sues Trump administration over fatal Minneapolis shooting

The 'victim(s)' were the ICE officers. It was Good who chose to interact, criminally, with them. They didn't choose to interact with her. She set up the situation. It was her criminal acts that led to the eventual outcome. The "government" didn't set out to find Good or interact with her. Good set out to find the ICE officers then interact with them. When her 'fun and games' protest turned into a potential arrest, she tried to flee rather than accept responsibility for her actions. It was her irresponsible and ill-considered actions that led to her death. She is 100% to blame here for what happened.

I mean, your double-standard on this & what happened on J6 is kind of epic.

One hundred percent.

That isn't a "double standard." It is presenting the facts as they are.

Did Good drive to where the ICE agents were?

Did Good drive the wrong way up a one-way street and then try to block traffic with her van?

Who initiated contact that brought the ICE officers and Good into interaction?

Did Good and her 'partner' heckle and taunt the ICE officers at the scene?

Who was responsible for the ICE officers having to interact with Good, Good or the officers?

Did Good obey the commands of the law enforcement officers present?

Okay....was she breaking the law?
Yes...trespassing.
Was she disobeying police orders?
No. The police that were there interpose their bodies between the shooter and her and gave her first aid. She died at the scene. The murderer was never convicted. None of this has anything to do with Renee Good attempting to run over federal law enforcement officers. Strawman fallacy.

On the post I responded to, you could say most of the same about what happened on J6. That's what I mean by double standard.

In some cases, you are correct. People, not all but many, at the Jan 6 protest were likewise criminally responsible for their actions and should have been--and often were--charged for those actions.
