Renee Good's family sues Trump administration over fatal Minneapolis shooting

"During the January 7, 2026, fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis, the agent was standing directly adjacent to the vehicle, within just a few feet, when the car began to move."

Google AI
AI is just using the word "adjacent" to mean "nearby":
  • "means very near, next to, or sharing a common boundary or edge without anything of the same kind in between. [1, 2]"
You're thinking of adjacent as "beside", because as humans, we would only ever relate to a vehicle from a directional perspective, like "in front of a car", "behind a car", or "beside a car", but Ai is just using the word adjacent in the classic dictionary definition, which doesn't have a directional component to it.

If he was "beside" the car, when "the car began to move", then he would have had to run ahead of the car and then turn to get in front of it. Right?

The words were "directly adjacent". If you were familiar with the event you wouldn't be quibbling now.

Let's see. She:

Illegally drove the wrong way up a one-way street
She then illegally parked in the middle of that street blocking traffic (in whole or part makes zero difference here)
She then resisted arrest
Following that, she attempted to flee the scene, a felony
In fleeing, she endangered several law enforcement officers and struck one of them with her vehicle--another more serious felony.

Good brought that shit storm on herself. Nobody else made her do any of that. If she had obeyed the ICE officers and gotten out of the vehicle. She would still be alive. But she chose felony flight turning her vehicle--intentionally or not--into a potentially deadly weapon.

All that said, yes, you are a loon.
She also was intentionally interfering with federal officers while they were attempting to transport a prisoner, another felony.

What a sad post - topped off by an ad hom. Or is that just an insult?

Did the shooting make the street safer - or create a more dangerous situation?

It also says "within a few feet" you fuckin' dipshit.

Look:

100% true. Just stop pretending that the agent was beside the car when he clearly was not. Thatis not what Ai means by adjacent.

What do you mean by a "sad post"? It contained an actual laundry list of pertinent facts.

FYI that's a couple std-devs above the mean here, and your post contained zero facts - just opinions.

Truth be told, your post is devoid of facts, entirely negative, with no redeeming qualities, and one really stupid question that didn't deserve a reply.

FYI Good wasn't shot "to make the street safer". She was shot because she quickly accelerated her car towards a nearby LEO.

If you accelerate your car towards a nearby LEO that is white, black, asian, latino, or otherwise, in any country on earth, you will get shot.

You seem not to realize you’re agreeing with what I’ve said this entire lame thread. The agent was too near the car for the incident to have played out as you and your fellow numbskulls have argued - that the car accelerated toward him and in self defense he reached into his holster, withdrew his weapon, aimed and fired. This doesn’t happen in the space of JUST A FEW FEET, does it?

Insult.

Yes. It took a 5 hot, 15 crazy, lesbian douche bag off the streets. That's one less lunatic fucking things up.

You're just retarded, Martin, and you don't understand how all these factors you're mentiong prove that the agent fired in self-defence.
  1. He WAS very close to the car - so - that gave him very little time to think/react/evade
  2. the car got up to a high rate of speed in the short period of time that it took to travel the short distance to where he was - so - we KNOW that it was accelerating rapidly, which means that he had every reason to perceive it as a threat
Unfortunately for Good, if the car was further way when she started driving then he would have had more time to react and get out of the way, if it wasn't her intention to hit him. If he was closer when she started driving then she would have hit him and gotten past him before he even had time to get his gun out.

More lies and stupidity from Li'l dick... Shocker.

Which way do you go to get out of the way of a car that's rapidly accelerating towards you from a short distance?
  1. L
  2. R?
It was a trick question, stupid. Either answer was wrong. Cars have steering wheels, so if they're aiming at you, and you move to one side, they can still change direction and continue to aim at you.
His own video shows you are being disingenuous with your claim. You keep moving in the shortest distance to no longer be in front.
Cars may have steering wheels but how far they can turn is restricted. It must go forward in order to turn. If you are near the left side of a vehicle and it is 6 feet away from you you continue moving in that direction. The turning radius on a Honda Pilot is about 19 feet. It can't move to the side.
But then we also see that Ross's viewpoint clearly shows her turning the steering wheel away from him. Making your argument even sillier. Was Ross suddenly blind? Cars don't turn the opposite direction of the steering wheel.

You failed to answer the context question of why was he was walking in front of her vehicle and using his cell phone? You are the one that claimed we needed to include all the context and now you are avoiding including context. Why Ross was even in front of her vehicle is very important to this since it shows that Ross is the one that put himself in danger in violation of his training.

Then you want to talk acceleration. A Honda Pilot is not some speed demon. It takes almost 2 seconds for it to go from 0-20 mph. Using a speed calculator it takes roughly 10 feet to get up to 10mph. That would be under ideal conditions. This was icy conditions. She didn't even move 10 feet before Ross shot her.

Her car was originally aimed to his right, then she went to pass him on his left.

From his POV, it was unclear which way to go when he first saw her accelerating.

What distance do you think he was from her vehicle? Don't forget, she backed up before she started driving forward. He did not pull out his gun when she started forward. He had it out prior to that.

But you still haven't told us what the hell Ross was doing in front of her vehicle.

LOL. Now you are just talking out of your ass. She backs up with her wheels turned right. That moves him even farther to the left of the vehicle.

Once again you ignore the context of why was he even in front of the vehicle to begin with.

What was the speed you think the car was moving when he was supposedly hit? How did you calculate that speed?
There's a video that shows the car continuing down the road after she was shot.

It was no longer accelerating, but was going pretty fast. Close to 30 km/h is my guess?
What distance do you think he was from her vehicle? Don't forget, she backed up before she started driving forward.
Less than ten feet from where she backed up to, but she was already accelerating fwd when he started putting down his phone and pulling out his gun.

You’re still arguing all that happened in the space of a few feet. I’ll agree one of us is retarded.

When you're [x number of] feet in front of a car, making a video on your phone, and react to the fact that it is suddenly accelerating rapidly towards you, how many feet is a chill distance?

Her fucking car hit him, and no one would just stand there and get rammed so that they would be allowed to shoot that person. No one is brave enough to LET a car hit them.

What was the speed you think the car was moving when he was supposedly hit? How did you calculate that speed?

Speed isn't the issue. Force / kinetic energy is. F = mv^2. A Honda Pilot weighs right at 5,000 lbs. It is accelerating. That is going to be a serious amount of energy even at low speed impacting a human body.
What distance do you think he was from her vehicle? Don't forget, she backed up before she started driving forward. He did not pull out his gun when she started forward. He had it out prior to that.

Not far enough that she could miss hitting him, since she did.
But you still haven't told us what the hell Ross was doing in front of her vehicle.
Videoing the situation as he moved around to the driver's side.

It is the speed that causes the impact in that equation and that impact is key.

If you are standing beside a horse or elephant and leaning in towards it and they slowly move because there is no speed in that move you are just pushed in the direction they move. As there is no real impact, due to lack of speed, you are not hurt. You are just moved.

That isn't very fast. (about 18mph) Much of that acceleration would have likely happened when Ross was no longer in front of the car but was beside it and shooting into her side window. Then acceleration can continue to occur even after she was shot. That is why officers are NOT supposed to shoot a moving vehicle.
Less than ten feet from where she backed up to, but she was already accelerating fwd when he started putting down his phone and pulling out his gun.
He had time to put down his phone and pull out his gun but couldn't take one step to his right?

Once again, you ignore the context of WHY was he in front of her vehicle. Why won't you address the issue of why he was in front of the vehicle. It will be very important in court and will weigh heavily on whether Ross acted properly or not.
