What’s in the middle of article I section 8: the constitution

[The Congress shall have Power . . . ] To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress; . . .

They were talking about a ready army

You all lie about being devoted to what the founders planned

They wrote post roads and post offices into the constitution too

Socialist elements to our government right from the start

Is that a new maga hate line of thinking

Please tell us more of the things you hate about the constitution

They were talking about a ready army
The militia is NOT the ready army. That is the regular, full-time army. The army reserve is also NOT the militia. The militia, today, is the National Guard and "unorganized" militia meaning the population as a whole.

In fact, as Jefferson and then Madison found out, the militia can't even defend the country, at least in their time it couldn't. Instead, it regularly, and normally, crumbled before European regulars in war.

So, what drivel are you even trying to point out here?

This is typical of your retard threads and posts. You make some SWAGPOOYA as if you know what you're talking about and then the entire board smacks you down for your stupidity.

Where in this does it say what you constitution haters say?

As if something so obvious needs one. But, then again, you are retarded. So...

The Army has four components:

USA = United States Army. The regular, full-time, army.
USAR = United States Army Reserve. The federal component of the army that is part time.
NG = National Guard the organized "militia."
AUSA = Army of the United States. The "militia" raised through the draft.
