Says a teacher to my Sophomore daughter at school today. The old bag feminist overheard the last part of a conversation between my daughter and a friend during study hall. The friend asked my daughter why she is taking college courses and my daughter answered that she plans to get a nursing degree right away as a safety net but her real aspiration is to have a family and be a stay at home mother. Which is what we are advising her to do if she truly wants to have a family young. The teacher overheard just the last part and jumped on her. How will you make money? She seemed disgusted by the idea. She told my daughter "I'm sorry that's all you want to do with your life".

This is the exact setup we have and get by just fine on one income and no day care or latch key ever.

I'm thinking I need to go down there and meet with her and the principal to straighten things out. I'm pissed, this teacher needs "correction" and a solid understanding of what her role is and what her lane is.

Teachers a fucking idiots. They are barely able to pick their noses without causing brain damage. Your daughter sounds like a fine young lady who will raise the kind of children we need more than ever. Fuck that asshole teacher.

Just remember, teachers in K to 12 are about 85% women. If that were reversed, we'd never hear the end of it. The vast majority got an undergraduate degree in education and don't know their ass from their elbow about much of anything. They are often the last person you want to be taking advice from.

It would be interesting to know what that teacher's own personal background is in terms of their life.

I have this idea she was dumped by hubby and has a 35 year old deadbeat son living with her named "Bruno" who doesn't do jack shit to even help around the house. I had a customer who worked for children services deciding who was a fit parent who was just like that.

My wife and daughter were discussing this last night and had a pretty good time laughing about it all.

We thought it would be good to request a meeting with her and the principal and when we were all together my wife would speak and I would shoosh her. That would be priceless. She teaches culinary and insists on the students calling her "chef". Yet she sends her knives down to the shop teacher for sharpening. I don't think she's going to influence any kids with her bullshit though. She is that one teacher that is universally loathed by all the students. Every school has one.

I'd be far more direct with the principal. I'd go for "I see a lawsuit in your future" route right off then start insulting the teacher for being an idiot. Ask questions you know she can't answer. Get her riled up so she goes into bat shit crazy mode in front of the principal. Then circle back to lawyers and court.

Oh, in your case, I'm surprised they let the students have knives to begin with...

I have never laid eyes on the woman as my daughter is new at this school. A classmate drew a portrait and by all accounts it's a stunning likeness.

Rumor has it the plan is to drop it into the "kindness" box in her classroom at some point.
