Go Figure: Arrests, Prosecutions and Deportations Fuel Record Drop in Crime

Correct . Cities are cesspools of crime. Always have been.

But not all. I’d bet that a larger, much larger percentage of pubs

Duh. Well it is.

Correct

Cities are cesspools.

Cities are cesspools. Some aren’t though. I just added Bellevue, WA to my list of how some cities do it right. Bellingham , WA too. I’m sure they have democrat mayors. Seattle doesn’t. It’s a cesspool.

They should

Guaranteed, republican controlled cities and towns have far less violent crime.
And it’s not just mayors. It’s the voters that don’t tolerate it.

So you’re saying Oklahoma City or Mesa, AZ have the same violent crime rate as New Orleans, Shitcago or Detroit. OK.

It should.
Fingernails on the chalkboard.

The vast majority of traditional criminal crimes are state related, not federal. Bank robbery is federal only--ONLY--because banks are federally insured so the loss involves the feds for example. Otherwise, it would be a state or local crime. Murder, rape, assault, unless on federal land, are state or local crimes. A crime like tax evasion or something fraud involving multi-state operations move into federal territory.

Immigration is a federal issue. Oddly, it is one of the only federal issues that states selectively refuse to involve themselves in. Could you imagine a state or city saying they won't respond to a bank robbery because that's the FBI's and fed's responsibility and that they won't even report when one occurs, the bank or feds have to do that themselves? That's what sanctuary laws are effectively doing.
Feds are involved and assist local authorities in all kinds of investigations, they aren’t sitting back waiting for strictly defined Federal offenses, and as I said, it seems more contributing to focus on real criminality than chasing illegals with traffic violations

Poor anchovies, many warrant arrests, drugs, and your favorite, illegal guns are found with simple traffic stops for minor offenses. You continually quacking on a subject you know little about shows your ignorance and frankly it's annoying.
But traffic stops aren’t preplanned, duh

The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) reported this morning that felony violent crime fell 25% in 2025. Rape declined 13%, robbery fell 27%, and aggravated assault dropped 31%. Property crime fell 19%. Except for rape, these are the largest one-year reductions recorded since data collection began 53 years ago.

There seems to be a problem with those statistics. If violent crime was 1,284,885 in 2021 and 1,221,345 in 2024, how did it go up at all let alone go up 59%?

This is an outright lie. Where this lie comes from is that a good chunk of people ICE arrests have either a criminal conviction (13%) or pending criminal charges (26%). That's a combined total of 40%. When ICE makes an arrest of such a person, there is a good chance they arrest several others present who are in the country illegally too that are with the target for arrest.

You really need to start to read your sources. The CATO numbers for a story on Nov 24, 2025 are only the numbers from Oct 1, 2025 to when they wrote their story. It says nothing about the 11 months since.
The following dashboards present for the first time information and trends in arrests, detentions, removals and alternatives to detention as of December 31, 2024.

Gosh. Thanks for the info showing that Biden deported criminals. Can you provide any information on Trump?
Read your sources. It will help prevent you from looking like an idiot.

I’d be more interested in Federal authorities focusing on hard criminality than pursuing contributing immigrants who ran a stop sign

61% of illegal immigrant households use welfare

Feb 4, 2026 — Roughly half of all immigrant-headed households in the U.S. use welfare — and among illegal immigrant homes in particular, it's even higher.

Good grief, Anchovies, get a clue.

Biden may have deported illegal criminals but he knew they were coming back through his intentionally open borders.

Not that it is relevant to the thread but your source is framing statistics (https://cis.org/Report/Welfare-Use-Immigrants-and-USBorn-2024), helps to go to the original source and not such as fhe Washington Times version or the original, and the majority of this collecting are children of illegals, legal US citizens entitled to public assistance

Got anything else

...the economy got all fucked up and inflation hit a cumulative 21.7% for the four years Autopen was in office, the highest rate in over 50 years.

There, finished your statement for you.

... the economy got all fucked up world wide due to global inflation coming out of covid.

Biden was in office and managed it better than any other country on the planet which is the most important measure for any world wide affliction.

There fixed your post for you

All that aside, I really don't care if they have a criminal past or not. If they are here illegally, they need to be deported--PERIOD!

I don't give a shit if they have a criminal record or not. They're here ILLEGALLY and need to be deported, tossed out of the country, and kept out.

What possible reason do we as a nation have to keep someone who is here illegally in the country?
All bullshit
