Just voted…

*yawn* You self-appointed champions of freedom sure do believe that you have the right to dictate to others how they should/should not be able to do things like voting.
The federal government establishes rules for voting in federal elections, Fowl.
Your brother pEarl wants to station armed ICE goons at every polling place. Papieren, bitte!
Good.

I've voted absentee since the citizens of this state voted to make it possible. Before that I voted in person. I missed one single election in my life. Because I was in the hospital recovering from a brain aneurysm. (thankfully it was just a tiny local election). I bet most people have similar stories of voting heroism. lol

When we moved here we had to show our driver's licenses from Missouri, our birth certificates, and one other form of photo ID like passport, work badge, student ID card. And a utility bill in our names for proof of residency. We had to do that before getting Michigan licenses and registering to vote. Just like we've done in any other jurisdiction where we have live.

Tell us in your great MAGAT wisdom how someone can steal my mail-in ballot, fill it out, forge my signature to match the one on file, and mail it in without me noticing that I never got it. I'll get the popcorn while we wait.

You simpleton MAGATs twist yourselves into more pretzels than a contortionist at the circus.
MAGAT is not a word.
MAGATs is not a word.

There is no signature on a mail-in ballot.

No ID? Fraud!

Our former neighbors were the poll workers at our precinct, until they moved. They knew us, obviously, but we still had to show ID. I've been voting -- in two different states and several jurisdictions -- since I was 18. I have never once not had to show ID.
You just contradicted your own argument, Fowl.
You say you mailed in your vote. You did not show ID to do that.

My Election Day voting story...

Our polling location was moved farther away this year.

I get there, and there are two lines. Naturally, I pick the shorter one.

Finally get to the front, give the lady my name.

“Sorry, no registration under that name. Maybe you're in the wrong line?”

Fine.

I jump into the other line. Much longer wait.

Finally get to the front.

Same story. No registration.

Then the lady from the FIRST line shouts over:

“WHAT WAS YOUR NAME AGAIN?”

I repeat my name.

“Oh! Found it!”

JFC.

Clearly voter intimidation. First they move my polling place farther away, then they make me stand in TWO lines just to vote.

I'm practically a victim of democracy.
I imagine it was an elderly poll worker, and people do make mistakes.

Why don’t you volunteer, you would never make a mistake.

No they're not.
Yes they are.
Nurses and other hospital staff, for instance, typically work 12 hour shifts, 7 am to 7 pm, and often OT after shift end.
A hospital is not an election polling place.
(We save the charting for then.) They seldom work close to where they have to go to vote.
They live near where they vote.
How many employers will let you leave work, drive half an hour to your polling place, stand in line for an hour or so, vote, then spend another half an hour to get back? Who's covering your patients while you're gone?
Vote before or after work. What line?
A real American would be pleased to see people taking advantage of easier ways to cast their ballots, rather than whining because they don't do it like you do. Didn't your dad fight in a war to ensure that we keep that sacred right?
True Scotsman fallacy.
Omniscience fallacy. You don't get to speak for everyone.
Election fraud is NOT a sacred right.

Learn to inunciate. It all could've been avoided if you've shown your photo ID.

Du bist ein guter Deutscher, Herr Faschist. Heil Trump!
