I think that aside from military force theres very little we can do as China et al has already given recognition to the taliban.

NPR interviewed a protester outside the WH today......his family have been in Afghanistan visiting relatives.......he says that things deteriorated so rapidly and without warning by Biden that they did not have an opportunity to make a safe exit and are now trapped there......

Biden is a fucking moron. How do you schedule a withdrawal for Sep 11 and still have a full embassy, 10000 americans, and seomthing like 20000 afghan allies still there?

for that matter, why do you schedule a withdrawal for September 11 and withdraw on August 1 without telling the 10,000 Americans.......

This is a recipe for a really bad nightmare.

The only hope is the Taliban won’t want to poke the bear too hard and allow them to leave.
 
on one of these threads there was an article describing how Trump had made it clear to the Taliban that if they made an effort to take over a city we withdrew from he would bomb the crap out of them.........that would have kept them at bay until the Afghan army could establish its strength.......it is also what Biden did not do.......does anyone else think it would have made all the difference in the world?.......
