the vaccine does protect from a serious illness. So what is wrong with that? It could be he was a unique person with all kinds of undiscovered problems. However, that was not mentioned.
Totally was a bad word to use. he should have said it was extremely, preventable.

A GOP council member in Galveston County, Texas, has died from Covid just five days after he shared a meme on Facebook challenging the effectiveness of vaccines to fight deaths from the disease.

Scott Apley, 45, frequently challenged mask wearing and vaccinations on Facebook, and was a fierce conservative. He even went as far as describing himself as a “verified harmful extremist”.

Before being admitted to hospital on Sunday, he had shared a meme that claimed: “In six months, we’ve gone from vax (vaccines) ending the pandemic...to you can still die of Covid even if vaxxed...to the unvaxxed are killing the vaxxed”.

The comments followed a change in recommendations from the US Centres for Disease Control Prevention (CDC) last month, after it warned both vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans are at risk from the Delta variant of Covid.

A tea party Republican who recently helped turn over the party leadership in South Carolina’s largest county has died from complications of COVID-19.

Party leaders and his family say 64-year-old Pressley Stutts died Thursday.
