3000 Dead Americans: Incredibly Successful One Of The Best Jobs That's Ever Been Done

This tally includes indirect deaths as a result of the storm.

So if somebody was a diabetic and they need insulin, then the insulin has to be kept refrigerated. If the power got knocked out and the insulin went bad, and they died as a result of that, then it is a hurricane-related death. But the cause of death on the cert is going to be listed as 'Diabetes.'

This estimate is a very scientific way of determining the indirect deaths.

It makes total sense.

You look at the normal number of deaths pre-storm, and compare that to the number of deaths post-storm. That's why they came up with a range instead of an exact figure.

Trump was saying if somebody died as a result of lost power then that name was: "added to the list." Except there IS NO LIST. So Trump was just making things up, as usual.

When he talked about a list, he was lying. He had no information about a list. He made that up. He just pulls this stuff out of who-knows-where (let's don't go there - please!)

He is not rooted in reality. He lives in a world of innuendo and hyperbole. Everything is either the greatest or the worst. There is no in-between for him. He can't be bothered with facts or color. It's either black or it's white. He's very strange. I don't like him. I don't think that is a good way to approach leadership. He is not a good leader. It's like he's 9 years old.

So now the president is disputing this scientific estimate.

What in the world does he expect?

Should the scientists change the estimate because he doesn't like it?

Because it makes him look bad?

That's ridiculous.

And what if the actual figure is lower?

Suppose it's only 1500?

That is still not very good.

That's pretty shocking that a storm would kill that many Americans.

Certainly not: " Incredibly Successful; One Of The Best Jobs That's Ever Been Done."

He presided over a lousy job either way.

All he's doing is bringing attention to a pathetic and tragic hurricane response, and a poor job that he did as a leader.
