If a person knows it takes X amount of dollars to raise a child and they have nowhere close to that amount of money and no way to get it WHY do they have the child? And another, and another? WHY? Why would anyone do that in their right mind?

What you fail to understand is that a living wage has changed since then. People have much higher expectations now. They shouldnt btw. A living minimum wage means just that. The ability to live and exist,...at minimum. Now people seem to think that things like cable tv, wi fi, cell phones, and video game packages are all part of being able to live and exist. Thy are not,.... and never were. Minimum means a tiny sleeping room to lay your ass down in at night and enuff food to live if you stretch your dollars right. THATS IT.
