I used to work in an Amazon warehouse. Literally everyday we had new people come in and people were fired for the most frivolous and unfair reasons. One coworker missed a day without calling in because her daughter was in a car crash. The daughter died later that night. Amazon fired her because she was a "no-call, no-show." She'd been there for two years and never missed a damn day. She was a hard worker who did her job and never complained. Another coworker was fired because his car wouldn't start (it was winter). Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos sells a $1 billion/yr in Amazon stocks to fund his space exploration hobby.

We need better laws in America to protect the little guy. It's really fucking disgusting how the Republicans fight the little guy.

I work 'at will' in an at will state. i excel at my sales position -so I bring in big money.
I hone my sales skill by un-paid training a bit- when I feel rusty, or new product scrips come out.
So my unpaid skills sessions development help me earn more.

If I were an average salesman,i'd bring in average money
and if I were a piss poor salesman, i'd get fired without warning (at will)
^all this is eminently logical and obvious performance based pay

Pretty much worldwide only about a third of humanity is really college material. The other two-thirds simply aren't. That's how it is. Maybe that's how it should be. College isn't the be-all, end-all of being successful. There are many other paths open and all of them share one trait: You apply yourself to what you love or what you can do well, you'll be compensated well for it.

I think we're really better off than most people give us credit for. It's just this stupid people seem to get a lot of attention, mostly because they're so stupid.

I don't think I'll ever understand people that just go to college for the fun of it. If you want to learn stuff just to know it, you can just buy the books. It's way cheaper
