Why do you keep believing I'm mad at you, Sybil? I believe you are mentally ill, not someone to fear or hate.
Psychoquackery. Insult fallacy. Trolling. QED.

Which would tell you the rock was a certain age but not when the hand prints were placed.
I'd wonder if they tested the pigments they used... that could actually net a time period when the prints were placed.
I mean, if I repaint a car that was built in the 70s and leave a fingerprint on it, that does not mean the fingerprint was placed in the 70s if they prove the car was built then... eh?
I would think they would figure the age by the length of time that mud becomes a rock.
It's even worse. It doesn't tell the age of sedimentary rock, since it was cold rock as sand or mud.
Yes. I believe that dinosaur bones come from animals that went extinct millions of years ago.
I also believe that the universe is over 14 Billion years old.
Tell us what you believe. I'd love to hear your "hypotheses".
That would make these even older than the rock they were found in. You'd have to know how long it took for the prints to fossilize, which is probably the reason they have such a large window of time in their estimate.
Me? I make no claim about where any bone comes from.
I make no claim that dinosaurs did or didn't exist.
I really don't care.
Concerning the Universe:
I believe the Universe has no age, since it has no beginning, and has no end. It has always existed, and always will.
The Earth has a beginning, and it has an end.
The age of Earth is unknown. Unless something intervenes, the Earth will be destroyed by the Sun as the Sun uses up the last of it's fuel.
You can't measure the age of a void.

No shit, Sybil. I'm really pleased you understand that fact. Kudos, dude!![]()
To be clear, I only have one account on this forum and only one on yours. Feel better now, Sybil? So you openly admit that you have socks.
I don't.
No.
The FBI can scan what they want. There is nothing illegal there. You must think they are really bored.
The universe most definitely has an age.
We can measure the void between his ears though.![]()
I guess he was talking about the entire thing. As Carl used to say, "the universe has always existed and will always be", or something like that. Too lazy to find the quote.
In that case, the Universe has no age. Think of the universe as a basketball ball, there is no age or any beginning or end to whatever is inside it.
Surprisingly, 40 percent of Americans think humanity is less than 10k years old. That is a huge percentage and indicates a problem with scientific literacy in USA.

Sagan was wrong if that's what he said. The Universe began with the Big Bang.
The Theory of the Big Bang is not a theory of science. It is not falsifiable. You can't go back to see what actually happened (if anything). The Big Bang can be dated.
As to the age of everything? Are you talking about the whole shebang? Multiuniverses? We do not know but only can speculate.
The universe most definitely has an age.

A Universe the is not universal is not the Universe.
