Agree with this, but IMHO, the violation of the principle should be offensive to every American. And lets not forget Trump held an invite that would be illegal in almost every state because it was a large gathering with absolutely no mask use. It's remarkable. The Administration is pretending the pandemic is over. And a large segment of the electorate is buying it. The stupidity and ignorance are just staggering.

Democrats cherish law and order and the need for professional law enforcement. Democrats seek to ensure that law enforcement does not abuse their power. Democrats feel that the measure of the greatness of a nation is not how rich the richest are but how well the least advantaged are treated.

I love my life and love being an American. I understand America cannot be taken for granted, that the work is never done. America is a do-it-yourself kit. Our forefathers made great sacrifices to set up this nation and now it is time for us to continue the work to protect what was begun and nurtured by others. Every American should resolve to leave this nation better than they found it. Where America has problems they must be solved. Ignoring problems or denying their existence never solved anything. My positive vision for America includes recognizing the issues that need work and working towards solutions.

Being part of the American community means Americans looking out for one another, not being selfish or exclusionary. It means understanding that the beauty of freedom of speech means allowing others to have their views and if we disagree then the way to express our own views is to state why they are better, not to attack the other person, which a) says nothing for your own view, and b) does nothing to explain why a view we might disagree with is objectionable.
