Air Force Reservist, Nestride Yumga, speaks about Black Oppression in the USA

She makes sense. Thanks for posting this Bigdog. Nice job.

A strong, smart Black woman that immigrated from Cameroon to become an American. The White libs will, of course, call her an Aunt Thomasina. :palm:

Some will for sure. She gets what America is all about. Sad that those that have been here for generations do not.

It's great to have her attitude - but just believing you're not oppressed doesn't erase clear discrimination that still exists in America.

I'm not sure why people think discrimination is "over." It's so far from over. It's everywhere, and it CAN be oppressive.

You don't have to have a victim mentality to recognize it and keep fighting it. We should always be fighting to improve America - all of us, on many fronts. Keep striving for better, for more equality, better justice, more opportunity. These aren't bad goals.

Because people like her do not allow it to happen. And utilize the resources made available to everyone in the U.S.

BELIEVING YOU ARE OPPRESSED IS FAR WORSE.

BLACKS FROM OTHER NATIONS COME HERE AND PROSPER, AND DECRY THE ENTITLED ATTITUDE OF SO MANY BLACK AMERICANS...THANKS TO THE "YOU RE A VICTIM" MANTRA OF THE LEFT.

I believe in that - I believe that anyone can rise above any circumstance.

But that doesn't mean you don't stop fighting for equality. Most can chew gum & walk at the same time. You don't have to have a victim mentality to recognize inequality and fight against it.

That's who we are. Equality is one of our most important ideals as Americans. We could have said the same thing you said above when the British were taxing us but not allowing us representation - but we fought it, and asserted our own rights.

It's really as American as it gets. We don't ignore injustice. We take it head on.

I agree with what you are saying here. I will state emphatically though a lot of the perceived injustice and inequality is brought one by people themselves. There is a victim mentality in this country across the entire spectrum of the rainbow that does not need to be. Immigrants such as this young lady prove that every day. They come here from places where there is true injustice. They see what this country offers. The utilize it to make a better life.

Who would argue otherwise?

But you kind of blew off the black lady’s opinion—speaking as a black person. Why doesn’t BLM block traffic over all the black on black deaths in some urban areas?

Is that ‘not a fair question’ somehow? Did you notice the protestors didn’t really have an answer for it?
