Alec Baldwin and gun safety

Calling it a strawman implies that I know nothing about gun safety?

Yes. That or no common sense. The op is a legitimate question.
Someone hands me a gun, first thing I do is check if it’s loaded, especially if I’m going to pull the trigger and more especially if I’m going to aim it in the direction of a living creature. I don’t care what the person tells me.

Correct. So why ask a dumb question? Like I said, it's a strawman or a trap to get us to agree that Alec is 100% responsible. It doesn't work and Dr. Express Fart knows it.

If you were handed a gun and were told it was unloaded. Would you:

1. Point in in the direction of others and pull the trigger.

2. Check the gun yourself before pulling the trigger.

Assuming you have no knowledge or interest in guns, you would accept the proof that your professional gave you.

Then why have you been kicking Baldwin's balls for 3 days defending him? He's an imbecile and apparently do are you. You fucking maggot.

Why the fuck do you assume that I defend Alec? How the fuck am I supposed to know exactly what happened there? You don't know either.

Alec Baldwin is a producer on this film, so he bears responsibility for this accident.

There is no need to have live guns on any set anymore; you can add the flash and sound in post.

No, he does not. He has people in charge of that. They have the responsibility.

No, he does not. He has people in charge of that. They have the responsibility.

And he was in charge of the people in charge of that!

So its not the responsibility of a person that is putting his finger on the trigger to check and see if gun is loaded or not?

I bet he checks himself from here on out!

No, he does not. He has people in charge of that. They have the responsibility.

As an Executive Producer, which Baldwin is on this production, you do bear responsibility for what happens on set.

There shouldn't have ever been a live weapon on a set. In fact, it's cheaper, easier, and safer to add all the gun effects in post.

Maybe but he couldn't be everywhere at once.

Here is what we know, asshole had a prop gun he pulled the trigger and now some poor innocent victim of the asshole is dead. What more do you need?

I dont think Alec is 100% responsible. I do think he’s 100% irresponsible.

Yeah, it's a tragedy because there shouldn't have even been a live weapon on set.

There's just no excuse for it anymore now that you can add all the gunshot effects in post-production.

I mean, he was the one holding the gun...

True but how do we know he didn't check it? As Goat has explained, the castings and primers are color-coded. And the blanks are very obvious if you look in the chambers. Anyone can see the real bullets vs blanks few feet from it.

True in a way. I mean the production was rushed. The union workers left in protest. Few gun mishaps. And so on.

Clearly something went wrong and people are scrambling around to avoid any kind of responsibility.

What relevance do you think the answer to that question has on the situation?
