ALERT: Active shooter at Santa Fe Tx. High school

Neither did Israel: In 1974, Israel endured the Ma’alot Massacre[/URL][/B] in which “Palestinian” terrorists took 115 people hostage at Netiv Meir Elementary School. Twenty-two children and three others were killed and 68 injured. Israel now requires schools with 100 or more students to have a guard posted. The civilian police force handles the entire security system of all schools from kindergarten through college. The Ministry of Education funds shelters and fences, reinforces school buses, and hires and trains guards.

Guards don’t just stand around. They check everyone entering, and engage threats. And yeah, they’ve got guns. The lawful purposes for carrying guns are very clear: protect school personnel and students, create a sense of security, deter the ill-intentioned, and provide self-defense.

Different culture, different work ethic, too. They have mandatory national service, which makes a big difference.

The Israelis are very good at security. They have to be.

I don't think it's something that would work in our far less homogeneous society.

^Yes, folks. Evidence it is possible to be this stupid and still make it through the day.

NBC News’ Pete Williams talks about suspected Santa Fe High School gunman Dimitrios Pagourtzis, who reportedly complained about being bullied before opening fire.

A student who survived the Texas school shooting on Friday has spoken out about the accused gunman, saying that he was 'emotionally bullied' by his classmates and coaches.

Dustin Severin, an 11th-grade student at Santa Fe High School, told KRIV that the suspected shooter, 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtiz, was constantly teased at school, but that he believed it never escalated into anything physical.

"I know he's picked on by coaches and other students. He didn't really talk to anyone," he told the station. "My friends from the football team told me that coaches said he smelled, like, right in front of his face. And other kids would look at him and laugh at him ... nothing like physical but they still emotionally bullied him."

There you go. With a name like Dimitrios Pagourtzis, I imagine he got plenty of abuse.

Can you imagine a coach telling a Black or Hispanic kid that they "smell"?

If this is an attempt to convince me that the Iron Cross is "Nazi regalia", I must refer you to the facts:

The decoration originated in 1813, and is still awarded today. The Nazis did not invent the award, and as far as I know there's zero evidence at this point that this kid attributed any significance to it other than already stated - "for bravery".

I don't know what minutia we're arguing about. This kid had various military emblems on his jacket among them a hammer & sickle and an iron cross. That's it. Done.

Make the gun owner financially liable, and if the seller sold it illegally make the seller financially liable. That, Along with reasonable restrictions, would end this.

Then let's also make the bullies financially liable and if the parents and schools did nothing to stop the bully, then make them financially liable also.

The attacker was armed with an AR-15-style rifle, a pistol, a shotgun and pipe bombs, the official said.

"Officers inside encountered a bloody mess in the school," the source said, adding, "Evidently this guy threw pipe bombs all in there. We don't know if any of them went off."

The bloodshed 30 miles south of Houston is the worst mass shooting in America since February, when 17 people were gunned down at a high school in Parkland, Florida, according to a database of shootings maintained by the Washington Post.

That's not what the cops are saying... Story says a .38 Revolver and a shotgun, the "AR-15" is just your "wishful" thinking.

Are you positive on that AR-15 comment??

All good possibilities, I'd say.

Trouble is, we can't suppress the news.

True; but the MSM-13 could decide by themselves that they aren't going to sensationalize these.

Posting the story of what happened, is one thing; but continuously flying it as a banner isn't helping.

They only downplay stuff that makes liberals look bad and conservatives look good.

Only because liberals would get all weepy about it.
